I am tired of my hair! I have been to lazy to do anything with it. It's in a busted up bun. I don't scarf it at night even though I know I should. I really want to put a black rinse in it and "do my hair" for lack of a better term. I am fustrated with transitioning already and I am only 12 weeks post. I think I am going to relax it and forget the whole thing :-(

There! I feel a tiny bit better.

We all get frustrated at one time or another! Keep your head up and remember the goals that you set for yourself and why you set them in the first place!

I sort of want to vent. My mom and sister claim my hair looks like plastic when i slick it back in a bun. Yet I saw your siggy and my hair looks like yours when slick back. I dont get it. They claim my hair is dry cause they cant feel the grease. :perplexed :look:

Some people are stuck in their ways and what they know.

Girl, I get frustrated every single time I go through my regimen!! Just remember the benefits outweight the process. Hey if you feel the need to relax, don't feel bad. 12 weeks is an awesome stretch! I drove myself crazy after a 6 month stretch, and realized that I may not be one of those ladies that can go that long without a relaxer. Now that I texlaxed it makes it easier to deal with my hair. Do what is best for you. As long as you continue to condition and moisturize you should be fine.

I'll add a vent to this: I have been scared to shampoo my hair for the first time in my life because the last time I had some horrible tangles. Now even though I have both of my must have conditioners on hand (that last time I pooed I didn't) I'm still scared of the what if. Also, I'm past my 16wk. relaxer mark but is trying to hold out until Dec.. On top of all that I want some color, streaks to be exact in a nice mahogany shade, but trying to wait it out until I reach BSL. To top it all off this darn shedding is getting on my nerves, it has slowwed down but I'll be bald soon if it doesn't let up.
I'm also starting to believe that one of the reason behind thin ends may be because when shedding the way I have this summer causes the hair to loose some of it's fullness, so trimming may never be an answer for those who have serious shedding on a regular. Now my ends haven't looked thinner to me but my hair sure does feel thinner overall. I already have fine/medium strands so I need all the strands on my head.

Don't be afraid to shampoo try Cream of Nature with the green lable that stuff works better than conditioner to me. It's a great detangler.

Okay,
I'm on the Hide My Hair Until December Challenge. But, my hair has been up in some sort of bun since February. I'm TIRED of wearing buns. I am really starting to HATE buns! But, these stupid buns have really helped me retain length.

I just want to go back to my old stylist and let her do my hair. She always had my hair looking soo good and I always got compliments on how good my hair looked. BUT, she's a "trimmer" and I always came out the shop with a shoulder length bob. But, I miss having my "hair done".

Now my hair is growing out and it's weird looking and I sometimes I just want to throw in the towel and go back to my old stylist and let her freaking "trim" my hair.

But, last night I put my hair in a ponytail and it was long, thick and shiny. So, now I don't want to go near any stylist b/c I know it'll get hacked off.

Sorry for the long vent. But, my DBF has been getting an earful of "should I go back to the stylist OR should I just leave my hair alone?".

Thanks

I've tried CON and it feels good on my hair but it's the after math that doesn't work to well for me. I think I'm gonna just go ahead and relax tonight that way I don't have to worry about tangles. My NG actually does all the tangling to be honest, it's like my hair grows in an S pattern close together causing the hair to back wrap around itself or something, it's weird.

I hear you..I get bored very quickly with hairstyles especially when trying to manage new growth. I'm trying to hold out a bit longer for a corrective relxer and I can't even dream about wearing my hair down right now. 12 weeks is great though! It can be hard for us 4a/4b people to stretch that long. Just remember what initially motivated you to transition. If you feel that its important for you to make the change then try to hang on and conditioner wash when your hair feels hard, clarify when it seems to heavy, and try putting your oils or moisturizers on the damp hair.

Growing hair can be hard work man!

I let my freaking roommate do my hair... :cry3: BIG MISTAKE! My hair has not been breaking since I have been doing it, just shedding here and there... She rollerset my damn hair and it wasn't tight at all! Sat me under the dryer and my newgrowth was nappy as hell! When I get it rollerset at the hairsalon, my newgrowth isn't bad especially when the dominicans do it... But she did it and I'm afraid to comb my hair! Last night I had to wrap it tight and I looked at the bathroom floor and It was full of tiny broken hairs!!! :wallbash: And get this, She told me she went to cosmetology school and she knew how to rollerset and that she would teach me... She said she "failed the license test by 5 points" Yea right! More like she slept in class when the teacher was showing her how to rollerset is what I think... I could have done this myself and it would have came out much better... To trim... or not to trim...
