To me it doesn't look like the stylist cut off that much. Your hair is a little past SL in the first picture and in the second picture it has a tail but it looks like you're leaning your head back since your scalp is a lot more visible. Also, your bra looks like it's below your shoulder blades in the first picture but in the second it looks like it's on your shoulder blades. Your update is great and your hair looks fabulous but I think you could've saved yourself the stress because it looks to me like the stylist only took off the stray ends to even them up. I know in the picture comparison it looks like more, although to me it seems like that's the case because of the factors I stated above. Anyway, you know your hair better than I do so correct me if I'm wrong. Again, lovely hair in your update.

I'm having fun growing it back though (even though I am debating just cutting it all and going natural lol. I really am) I wonder what I'd look like. I think it would put more emphasis on my eyes...but I'm babbling.Yeah the bras are in different places, but lemme tell you how I measure. Look in this picture
Look at my scar. It's like dark brown, but then it gets light again? I don't know if that's really descriptive but it's like a half of an inch away from the top of the bra thingy that goes around. That lil light mark is near the bottom of my shoulder blades. To me that's the touching bss, but not full bss. It's about 3 inches past APL.
Now look at this picture
This is a May 10,2010 picture give or take. I know it was after my graduation. You will notice that the hair, well the tip of the tail is touching the top of the part of the scar I was referring to before. It's touching the top part of the light part of that scar. Bras may change but that scar is not going anywhere. That's how I know it was a lot cut off.
And I may be wrong, but I don't think I was tilting my head back. That pic was my May picture I believe. Here is a picture of my July 25, 2010 (or around that time) pic just for another comparison before I got a relaxer. The Tail is still around the same spot where that part of the scar is.
