I recently bought ultra nourishhair and Flaxseed Oil vitamins, I was wondering if the MSM, Biotin and Panothenic Acid in it are enough to see results or should i buy separate bottles of each btw it contains 500mg of MSM, 1200mcg of Biotin and 20mg of Panothenic Acid.

On another note could you guys tell me the brand names of some hair dye rinses, i cant seem to find any worth trying thanks /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi, I am currently taking GNC unh along with my prenates (im 8 months prego) i take one gnc a day along with one of prenate a day. i dont think the msm and biotin are enough and would have been taking separate supplements now but my doc says NO! so i plan to add em to my regime in February.

as for rinses, the ladies here seem to be big on Sebastian Cellophanes and Jazzings. im gona get a cellophane this weekend.

hope this helped.

From what I've read in general from this board and from friends, the dosages of MSM and biotin taken is much higher than the GNC to get noticeable results. I upped my MSM from 1000 to 2500-3000 daily and biotin to 1000 (although I've stopped with the bio now) but other girls go even higher! I know a g/f who said her hair grew like a weed from taking 3000 of MSM. She cut down on it after a month or so to 2000. Also re Panthentonic (sp??) acid (B5), should be 1,000 daily to notice a change I think.

Ultimately its up to you as I'm sure something is better than nothing at all /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I 5hlmnt,

I personally added the biotin and MSM separately when using Ultra Nourish Hair. I just want that extra boost. /images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm sure there are some people that still see results taking the UNH alone.

Hi there! I also take GNC Ultra Nourishair. Like many others on this board, I take extra vitamins to supplement the GNC. I take an extra 2000 mg of MSM, an extra 500 mg of silica, and an extra 5 mg of biotin. It will definitely help to speed up the results that you see.

Here's another thought as well...

Though I agree that generally a higher dosage of vits is needed to produce the results we try to effectuate on the board, some people get no results at all with vitamins. In general, the specific vitamin in question will only result in the benefit you are looking for if your body is deficient in that vitamin, mineral, or herb. And people who have gotten results have isolated each supplement, one at a time, such that they are able to really ascertain what produced the fastest results for them.

Saying all that to say (pant... pant... (dang I'm longwinded -geesh!) that I think you should use the GNC for a month or so and then add ONE supplement that targets a specific concern you have. Take that and the GNC for a while and see what happens. If nothing take it out and add something else. If is does, add the something else anyway to see if you can enhance your results further. But I don't advise buying everything in the beginning and to take it all at once. If something works you won't know and if something causes a problem (and some supplements do) it'll be hard to know which one.....

Just a thought. A long thought.... /images/graemlins/blush.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif
