Ultra Sheen Duo Tex Protein Conditioner anyone?

I bought it from Sallys and it sat in the closet for a few months and I returned it. I may get it again once I run out of 2 min. I hate having multiple things that do the same thing for my hair. I wont be getting 2 min Aphogee again thought cause thats not strong enough for me, my hair doesnt act any different.

I used the 2 minute weekly before my dc for light protein. When I want a medium strength protein treatment what I have been doing is adding a little of the 2 step protein treatment or Nexxus Emergence to the 2 minute so that I can have a stronger protein, but one that's not too strong.

This is my STAPLE protein i think it is 10 min when used regularly 3 to five min after a chemical service I am relaxed so i use it after i wash out the relaxer BUT before I neutralize I also use it three weeks after a relaxer i am out right now so I am finishing up a bottle of aphogee 2 min then i will repurchase. LOVE it!!! big bottle and it lasts for months

Yep..USDT is still in the rotation...and yep it will last you a while..especially if you put it in a spray bottle...

Try Fantasia IC Super Reconstructor. The first 5 ingredients are identical to the old formula APhogee 2 minute, except there's also castor oil. For me, it performs exactly like the old formula Aphogee 2 minute :lick:. It's noticeably stronger. :yep:

I had a little breakage, I've been over doing it with the heat. This stuff is a miracle, it stopped my breakage in its tracks. I always follow mine with a moisture DC just to be on the safe side.

I remember a stylist using this when I used to straighten every 2 weeks with the marcel stove, she put Duo tex on the roots and a moisturizing DC on the ends (an optimum brand which I actually liked....hmmm...come to think of it, I should try it again)? Don't know how she came up with this kind of application but...

I remember liking the results but knowing what I know NOW on how to use protein, the moisturizer should have been used all over the head.

I live in BK and I purchase mine online from beautyofnewyork.com. Its only $4.99 for the 33.8oz size. I then pick it up from the store since its only 5 mins from my house. If u ever decide to order from them I suggest doing it online with in store pick up. The prices online are usually like $1-$2 cheaper than in store

I used this a couple times but not sure if I used it right. It says on the bottle to comb the lather through your hair (or something like that). When I used it I did not have a lather so I dont know...any info ladies!? :)

I don't comb it through. I spray it on after I wash my hair with black shampoo. After a few minutes, I rinse it out then use my moisturizing DC and detangle.

Ive been wanting to use this for a long time but I could never find it in NYC. Do they still carry it at sallys?

I used that for several years when I had relaxed & colored hair. I had never heard of it but my stylist recommended it to me after she colored my hair, kept it healthy and the color didn't fade so quick. I used it every week after shampooing and conditioning, I'd just slap it on & put on a shower cap, shave in the shower and then rinse it out. I don't use it anymore though, it started drying my hair out when I started transitioning, even after cutting back to using it every 4 weeks. I think the instructions were to leave it on for 10 - 15 mns. but I'm not sure.

ok 7 yrs later I'm gonna try this again because I'm going to start blow drying weekly since this new growth is getting a little unmanageable but I'm stretching til at least end of next month. Good idea about putting it in a spray bottle!
