Well thanks to all u Aveda lovers I now too am addicted to this horribly expensive stuff LOL.

I got samples of the Damage Remedy poo and con from the Aveda store. I loved the poo as it left my hair really soft and detangled without being stripped. Plus I only needed a lil dab to lather my whole head ...with Nexxus I use several pumps from the liter bottle.

Well, I let about a quarter sized blob of the conditioner sit under a plastic cap for 30 minutes and rinsed.

I was amaized at how easily I detangled my hair, and I only saw like one strand in the comb. Blowdrying was a breeze and I noticed no broken hairs on my shoulders or on my hands after running them through my hair after my hair was dry.

My hair was soft an bouncy, and had a nice luster even before adding any product.

I added a dab of oil and NTM shine serum and woke up this morning to and amaizing head of rich brown hair.

Plus, with the small amount I had to use I can get at least two more washes just from the sample bottles they gave me.

I don't plan on leaving my beloved Nexxus PO just yet (I wanna see how aveda works for a few weeks consecutively) but I think Aveda DR will definately become a part of my reggie. It's a great balanced protien which is what my hair is in need of right now.

If any of you live by an Aveda store stop in for samples of the Damage Remedy poo and con. I give it two thumbs up!

Yep...I treated myself to these and I really like it. I want to try the universal styling creme next.

I'm glad you like them so far.

Yeah, I am lovin the Aveda DR too. The shampoo is really my favorite. I am using them tonight when I wash. The conditioner really helps smooth my ends and the shampoo really gets my hair soft.

I can't wait to try these. I got a raise recently, maybe I will treat myself. :)

Edited to add:

NO NO! I won't do it. :) I really need to use up my current products!! Maybe this can be a Christmas gift as the end of the year.

Yep... I really can't stop touching my hair, and there's zero breakage. I might have to get a second job to pay for my newest addiction however LOL.

Yeah, no breakage it always a good sign. Go ahead an put in some applications to your local walgreens or cvs to afford your aveda and keep us updated on the sales.

I used Nexxus for the first time today and I had the same problem. I had to squeeze out so much to lather my whole head. Luckily I only bought the 5.1 oz.

I've read other great reviews about Aveda DR. That will be my next purchase after I finish my Nexxus.

i havent tried the DR line yet other than the intensive conditioner but i'm going to get to it!! i feel kind of guilty buying it since i have a gallon, half way used of brilliant conditioner and a liter of sap moss shampoo, with more than half to finish out. maybe i'll indulge in the near future:grin:

Glad you found something that worked. Were the samples free?

I went to my local Aveda last Monday and the samples were free. They had little empty Aveda DR labeled bottles that they would fill up from the larger sized bottles.

Ladies, I want to try this so badly!! I decided that I am going to be good and start saving 10% of my income. When I start doing that, my hair care budget is not going to allow for this product! :nono: But, I so want to try it. I should just buy some liters and gently use them over the rest of the year.

Would you guys say that I could stick with just the conditioner and/or treatment and not the shampoo? I normally kind myself going back to my staple shampoo, and that would give me more room to splurge on the conditioner.

I've found that the combination of the shampoo & conditioner make a difference. But, if you're not able to stick with the duo, I'd definitely go with the conditioner.
