I have a friend who ordered it and told me the same thing. She loves the thick consistency and says it's an excellent moisturizer.

You know, I'm gettin worried, usually I receive an email confirmation of my order, and I did'nt get one I checked online and my card has'nt been charged.

I did receive an order # but I did'nt print it out

I just emailed her cause I don't want to duplicate the order.

LOL! She's so darned picky! I buy her things all the time and most of it she doesn't like. If she doesn't like it, I'm just going to sneak into her room and snatch it back!

Oh, no!! There will be none of that. I can't see how she couldn't like this moisturizer. It's the best thing ever!

do any of you have natural hair or did any natural heads use this new mositurizer?

I use UBh products when I was permed, but I was wondering before I take out my braids ( in like 2 months.lol. should I order it.

I discovered I can use it as a hair grease and not worry about icky scalp. As a result, I broke down and ordered 32 ounces last night. I received a confirmation email today.

I'm not natural, but I haven't permed since early June. Also, I went 2 years without a perm and used CH products. They were fine for my natural hair. In fact, I think it worked better on my natural hair than my relaxed hair.

I was convinced! I ordered the 8oz bottle today. It should be here by next week.

LOL me too. I send money order for $13.29 yesterday. I'm starting of with 8 oz. so I could see if it works for me. Any ways I don't have that much money on me. dangit.

I'm gonna try this one out too.....sounds good. I like all the reviews about it not being greasy...I'm correct in gleaning that from this thread...yes?

Mikki that is a lovely pic of Aaliyah....

Tracy your right about the protein she basically shuns the use of protein in moisturizing products.

Bronze - I was just talking about the percentages.

Ok I thought so - does anyone know the answer to the panthenol question?

Sorry gurl. Never mind. That's what I get for not reading page ONE!

Thanks for all that research. I appreciate it. I've always wondered about that but never got a chance to dig up the info.

::High Five::

I'm going to say it again...this stuff is the best!!!

My hair feels so moisturized and silky, but when I rub my fingers together, there is no oily feel.

Did I mention my hair has shine?

I LOVE this moisturizer!!

Wow, I am interested in this product too. I never purchase products via the Internet, but I must admit, I am tempted. Is it cheaper by the case? Maybe if enough people in one area are interested, one person can place the order just before one of the regional meetings and then distribute it/get reimbursed at the meeting. --kc

Tracy, What's got you listening to Sade these days?

Tebby, I still did'nt get an email but my card was charged, yesterday.

So, It's probably ok.

I ordered the creme moisturizer on Sunday and, if it's good to my hair, I'll have no problem shelling out the $$$ for this product. I'll buy the 16 oz. for sure. I've already spent lots experimenting with various moisturizers trying to find the "right" one for my hair - one cost twice as much as the 8 oz bottle (for far, far fewer ounces). I'm thinking the $10-12 for this product might be a steal . . .

[/ QUOTE ]

Cary the problem I have is not the 10-12 cause that's nothing for a good product I pay that for Keracare BUT the Shipping and Handling is what kills me. I really hope it will become more widely available. I was gonna break down and get the pump top (since I'm already in trouble
grin.gif
) But the $2 pump top was gonna cost $5 in S&H
shocked.gif
So I'd be talking $7 just for a top...

I just hope used sparingly and not globbed, it'll last awhile. I use the dew daily and a small bottle last about 2 mos.

Mindymouse & Cary,
Sometimes I wash and save empty bottles to use for my homemade hair concoctions. You may be able to find a bottle around home with a pump top that might fit the UBH Creme Moisturizer bottle and you could switch the tops out. (e.g. a lotion bottle with a pump top)

Heck...I already make the UBH Conditioner...if someone can post a recipe for the moisturizer lotion, I'd make that too.

But I do like to support this sister...I'll continue to buy.

Tebby,

A few days before I received my UBH Creme Moisturizer, I mixed some Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner which had a little Aloe Vera Gel in it (Thanks Sherry Love) and added distilled water along with a few drops of various natural oils and came up with a spray which moisturizes and is not greasy. It leaves the hair feeling about the same as the UBH Creme Moisturizer.
The formula I mixed is thin and I have it in a spray bottle, but I could probably add more Giovanni Direct Leave-In and adjust the amount of oils to make more of a creamy product. Hope this gives you some ideas.
I love the UBH Creme Moisturizer also.

Where do you get Giovanni Direct leave-in and how much does it cost?

Tebby,
I purchased it online from VitaminLife.com. The 8.5 oz bottle is $5.21. It is also available at Vitamin Shoppe for about $5.56.
Oh, I also added a few drops of vegetable glycerine and Loreal Smooth Intense Serum and Castor Oil.
I was just mixing up stuff I already had on hand trying to find a mixture that would moisturize and not be greasy for my son to use on his 4a/b hair; he wants to grow it long and I am proud that he loves his hair!
This mixture is even better than S curl to me. I use it on my hair also.
If you use vegetable glycerin and castor oil in your formulation, remember not too much or it will make it sticky.
Happy mixing

I think.. I had mousse on my hair and some other stuff, so I can't really tell. But it seems to feel "just washed" moisturized.

I have to agree, I got mine last friday
I have been using it everyday, my hair feels great, it is soft and the best part is that it isnt greasy. My hair is also pressed, so this is perfect for me.

Well, I got mine yesterday and, instead of waiting til I washed my hair again on Saturday, I put a little on last night (lol). Definitely not greasy-feeling or heavy, but my hair does look oily now. I think my hair is softer with the Dew, but much more moisturized with the creme. To get a more accurate reading, I'll try again Saturday on freshly washed hair. For the rest of the week, I'll stick to the Dew. I definitely like the non-greasy feel and the fragrance-free formula of the creme (I can still smell my leave-in conditioner which is nice). I guess it's time for me to try her conditioner. Maybe after I get a retouch in a couple of weeks.
