My avatar style is simple but looks ornate. It looks best on shoulder+ length voluminous hair (jumbo twists, braid/twist-outs, roller sets, blow-outs etc.).

You'll need hair pins/short hair stick, 2 hair clips & 2 ponytail holders.

1- Divide hair in two vertical sections. Clip one section.
2- Take a small section of hair near your forehead and loosely roll it down against the scalp.
3- Take another small section of hair, add it to the first and roll. This is similar to a flat twist, but with one strand.
4- Continue to add sections and roll until you reach your nape. Clip out of the way.
5- Repeat with other half of hair and clip.
6a (Shoulder to BSB) - Secure ends of rolled hair with ponytail holder at nape. Create a bun and secure with ponytail holder or pins. Remove clips.
6b (BSL+) - Twist ends of rolled hair together. Create a bun and secure with hair stick. Remove clips.

I am yet wear my own hair twisted as a protective style, but I have an oldie pic of some twist extensions I did with Marley hair during my transition.
