Try caster oil for dry ends

The ladies here are using regular or Jamican Black Castor oil. Some, like me, are using cold-pressed, unrefined castor oil usually found in the health food store. From the posts I've seen, it looks like they all work well.

Thanks Isis. I think I'm going to have to try it again and add another oil like Sherrylove does. Maybe that way it will make it a little thinner.

Hi Isis, I love your hair. I use it on my the newgrowth and my ends too. I put a cap full in my Salerm21 leave in.
Thank you Tyboogie! :) And thanks for the info.

You're welcome GlamourGirl. I'm buying some more jojoba this week to thin down mine.

I use Jamaican black castor oil on my scalp mixed with coconut, tea tree, rosemary oils. I add regular castor oil that I get from oilsbynature or Whole Foods to my conditioners and my oil mix (almond, grapeseed, jojoba, rice bran, olive, sunflower) that I put on my hair. It thickens the oil mixture up without making it sticky and I use it mostly every night after I rinse or CO wash my hair.

As a side note: My mom called me last Thursday to get some recommendations on changing/enhancing her regular regimen of just shampooing with any ole shampoo followed by any conditioner that is around...I have been trying to educate my friends and family since I discovered LHCF and while they would listen politely, they are just now starting to become interested and actively seek my advice and direction on hair care. I recommended that she mix some castor oil with her conditioner after she washes her hair. I then recommended that she use the leave-in concoction I left her in March, seal with some coconut oil and a bit of castor oil mixed together (as I insisted several months ago that she buy some coconut oil) and tie her hair down overnight with a satin scarf. She called me raving the next morning about the fact that her hair was super soft and shiny and she did not even have to press it the next day and she has always had to press her hair...
