In order to receive maximum hair growth, is it necessary to trim my hair every 2 months?

It varies from person to person. Some people dust their ends every month, some only trim after a couple of months or whenever they get a touch-up, and some trim when they see quite a bit a damage.

I trim whenever I see damage. I heard some people say cutting your hair doesn't make it grow faster.

It doesnt make the hair grow any more or faster or whatever, just helps retain growth

ha! you wont see maximum growth for about 6 years. If you cut .5 inch every two months, thats about 3 inches per year. It will take you forever to get your desirable length.

Now if you want to keep hair a certain length...i.e if you want to maintain shoulder length hair, then a trim every two months would be beneficial to keep it at shoulder blades or what ever else length.
