Trimming = thicker hair?

Trimming DOES NOT make the hair grow thicker from the scalp.

BUT

It does let hair look and feel thicker if the ends are straggly and thin, and those ends are trimmed off...

If your hair is thin from the roots to tips, then trimming isn't going to thicken it up.

If your hair is pretty thick from the roots but tapers into thin air, then your hair may feel and look thicker with a trim (and shorter ofcourse)

I see; thanks.

After too many trims to count, I'm positive hair does not get thicker because of trimming. You can only achive thickness from the inside out , or in the case of essetial oils what can be absorbed through your poors into your blood stream.
So me thinks:)

I don't think it makes hair thicker, but I did a trim about two weeks ago. Got rid of some scraggly ends that were just there. After the trim, my had more movement and even hung better, if that makes sense.

A trim makes your hair look fuller if you have "see-through" ends that are uneven or split, so it appears thicker towards the ends after a trim.
