TREE BRAIDS??? HELP!!!

How long does your hair have to be in order to get tree braids? I saw some old threads about it but nothing up-to-date or anything that discussed length. My hair is short and I have done micros (I took them out about 2 weeks ago), but I am not a huge fan of them. Any other braiding options would be welcomed. Also, any suggestions on good braiders in the Atlanta area???

 THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Welcome to LHCF!

Have you considered Kiny twists? The looks very nice if well done and are low maintenance!

Also you should do a search on here to find threads about hair regimens while in braids.
Also you should check out http://www.growafrohairlong.com/ for the crown-and-glory method with which many ladies have had success.

As long as your hair is long enough to cornrow then you can get Tree Braids. Of course there are two types. I just had them done a few months ago. I'll post pics in a few. I'm on my iPhone at the moment.

Thanks for the welcome angenoir!

I was thinking about Kinky Twist. Do they put less stress on your hair than micros?

OK. I'm pretty sure my hair is not long enough for cornrows yet so I might have to look into something else. Thanks for the reply!
