since becoming natural I notice something I have not seen in my hair since I was a child...the ends of my hair wrap around and form a knot...not every stran of course....should I clip them as I find them or just ignore them...I've clipped a few already but of course I'm still finding them

Clip them as you find them. In my experience, it causes more tangles if I don't. But I don't worry too much about them.

a totally shrunken twa..I have about five inches but it looks like one inch or less...

I find that when I wear a shrunken puff or fro I get far more knots. I guess because as the strands dry the loops end up forming knots. With 5 inches of hair you could probably do cute twist outs or comb coils.
