I just joined the bandwagon of simplicity that is CWashing. I haven't gone long enough to detect any buildup, but I'm thinking that I may be able to stretch to a month before having to shampoo. I know that many of the ladies here still poo weekly, but are there any who do so more or less often?

Let's see...

Hey Buddy;) , as you know I wash or dilute wash in conjunction with my CW's every week. So with 2-3 CW's , I still do 2-3 poos too.

For every 3-4 CW, i do a shampoo where i focus on my scalp. I just purchased Avedas Damage Remedy shampoo so its not too harsh but not to ineffective either :D

My hair tells me what it wants. I can feel and see the difference when I have to much build up. My hair feels dry and is not has coily. I use Trader Joe's conditioner or the brown Patene bottle for relaxed and natural. I probably conditioner wash every day or sometime every other day with a good shampoo when my hair feels weighty.

I really only wash once a month, I do a clarifying shampoo followed by Porosity a month after my touch ups. Then I co wash for another 4 weeks then I shampoo, and then another 4 weeks I have a touch up again.
So I shampoo about 2 or 3x over the course of 3 months.

Um....newbie naivete question - what's Poo? Cos when I see a thread with "How often do you Poo" I"m thinking prune juice...?:look:

Abbreviation for Shampoo sweetie!

It varies. But right now I use shampoo about once a month. CW everyday. I would prefer to never use shampoo.

Hey buddy girl

I like your idea about diluting the shampoo. :scratchch

So, my options would be to:

1 - Actually clean hair more often w/ a diluted shampoo (1X week)

2 - Only actually clean hair less often, 1x month, w/ full strength shampoo.

I'll have to see how my scalp feels. So far so good. I'm so worried that using shampoo will be like starting all over again w/ moisture in my hair, u know? My braid spray has tea tree oil, so there are some antibacterial effects already in my daily regimen...eh?

what are your thoughts?

I think the diluted shampoo would work well, especially if you are concerned with drying your scalp out with 100% shampoo frequently. I would just watch the condition of your hair though, You may need to regular wash more sometimes and other times a simple CW or diluted wash may work. I've been pretty lucky (thus far) and have no ill effects from pooing often. I usually do my diluted shampoo when I feel I don't need too much to clean the scalp. But I go by my hair daily to decide what I will do. Talk to you soon;) .

I forgot!! I like the fact that you are using the T-Tree braid spray. That will help with your scalp and I like the tingle! I used to use Parnevu T-Tree braid spray and I still use it sometimes especially if I part my hair when I do the baggie technique. Ok, Bye!!:p

I CW daily, deep condition twice weekly and used to poo once a week.

But after reading some thread about buildup, I recently started pooing 2x a week. So far, that's been fine and I'd like to make sure my scalp isn't covered in residue from all the cw's and deep cons.

I marked other...now that its summer and Im in the pool more (and sweating from the gym, etc..) I wash almost every day. If I dont wash than it's a CO wash. Either way with all the sweat and/or chlorine my hair's gotta be rinsed out in some form or fashion...

Twice a month with diluted poo. I clarified yesterday in preparation for getting braids Monday. I count that as a poo.

I'm in braids right know, but ussally I CO wash everyday and poo every week, but if my hair feels heavy I use a diluted poo
