Only because this girl is so cute and nice, and is clearly trying to help others learn how to straighten natural hair. But all that grease! Yikes! She appears to be somewhere in the 3 family, and I don't think any hair (but especially type 3 hair) can gain any body and movement flatironed when it's weighed down with that much grease. I want to say something, but I can't think of a nice way to say it. I think a rollerset would look really nice on her, and give a far less weighed down look. What do u guys think?

I was just gonna ask what her hair type is because she doesn't seem to have any curl/kink definition.

I am definately not a fan of Grease or a Greasy look, as result of any type of product, It would actually look a lot better without it, even if She used a Good Heat Protectant prior to drying She would still have some sheen without the "Weigh-Down" effect.

Exactly. And it would have been even easier to straighten.

I used to flat iron my hair like that in high school with the metal god n hot flat iron

just old school. I remember that's why I never straightened as a young teen. I'd look a hot mess and all stringy. When I found a girl who did it without all that grease, I found swang.
