Thinking about getting a ... dundundundunnnn...

I got a weave before but you know, it was shedding horribly, and it looked like a hot mess on my hair.

Well alrightee ladies... here's the plan. I will get my hair relaxed this Friday, I already gave myself a protein treatment on Sunday night.
CBG - I spoke to Kay and she gave me a good price so I think I'm gonna go with her for the tracks this Saturday. She also said that she uses re-enforcement hair which is good. She told me to stop by either Bronx Hair Supply or Lugo's or Adorable (dang, those places must make a brick with all this free advertising

). I only have 2 questions left (not to anybody directly):
1) Do you see a problem with me relaxing my hair on Friday and than getting the 5 tracks (remember, I will have a re-enforced cornroll). Kay (the stylist) said there shouldn't b a problem but you know I trust my LHCF girls over ANY stylist ANY day; and
2) Should I have my hair crimped (it'll be a little longer than bra strap - about an 1") or just the usual, part on the side and hanging down? Any other style ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would wait longer but I've watched Kay and she isn't rough so go for it. Also I would get it crimped only if she uses the crimping rollers. The end effect is the same as with the hot irons so why go for the heat? I like crimps and hey do something different you know. You can always wash it out and wear it straight after a while.

yeah girl wait a little longer if you can, if you dont mind me asking what is her price range?
and i would love to see her work, she must do tight weaves...does she have a web site?
and thnx for the compliments ladies.....

Thanks CBG. She quoted me from $85 - $125, depending on how many tracks and what style I want. And no, she doesn't have a website, but she's located in the Bronx on White Plains Road (b/t 228th & 229th Streets).

The stylist told me to get Perm Straight Blend with extra Yakki... is this okay? Also, she said I probably need like 4 oz but how do the ounces go, as in, track wise?

yeah they do sell by the ounce but, when i go in there i just tell them give me 120 dollars worth.....that's the way i was taught....and that sounds like a nice blend...did she look at your hair and come up wit that blend?

Actually, no, i spoke to the other stylist. I told her I have thick hair already so I wanted the tracks to be just as thick. She told me to tell them:
'Perm Straight Blend with a little more Yaki"

I called Lugo's and he said the yaki just thickens it up a little more and that sounds like a nice blend for me as well. I will be getting 18" tho, the original stylist (from 46th) told me 21" and the guy from Lugo's was like do you really need it that long

.

If the hair was really curly, 21" would be ideal, but 18" is really long once it's sewn onto your hair in the back.
