You know the saying
if you can see it, you can acheive it
or something like that
Alot of very successful people have admitted
to using visulization techniques to acheive their goals...

Have any of you applied this
technique to your hair?

That is the only way that I can stay focused is to see myself with WL stretched hair. Right now I am really focusing on visualizing myself with APL to begin with. And 50 lbs lighter...So I am with you on this....

I picture myself with BSL.
I do this for about 5 minutes
each day before I go to sleep.

We do a lot of things to our hair,
but I really beleive in the power
of suggestion... it would be interesting
to see a study done on people who do it
v. people that don't do it...

I visualize on many of the areas in my life :)

Hair included, it is fun and it always makes me smile

I see myself everyday with thick, healthy MBL length hair. My visualisation techniques have worked so far for reaching other goals I wanted to achieve in life so I see no reason they wouldn't work for my hair. When you visualise what you want to achieve, you start focusing on doing what has to be done to get the job done. Things just work themselves out. For those who haven't read Think and Grow Rich, you could be missing out...

I often imagine how I'd like to look and where I'd like to be in life. One must have Vision! :)

my ex boyfriend would always read that book.

I remember sleekandbouncy said she visualized her hair going from SL to MBL and her hair is now MBL. I do visualize my hair being a thick APL. I don't do it everyday but I can definitely see myself having that length.

I guess I do this everyday. Even though I'm transitioning I picture myself with waistlength natural hair. This is just how I see myself even though I'm not there yet. I see myself as having all the things I want already(physically, financially etc). For instance, I drive a Honda, but I see myself stepping out of a brand new BMW, lol. It will happen soon enough.

Me too (I thought I was the only one who did it w/my hair goals)

I think visualizing things is the first step to bring them into existence.

This is me all day long. I have been very busy lately because I have visions of what my life is going to be in the next two years. I'm doing everything in my powers to make sure that my dreams/visions come true. I sometime gets lost in my visions. As far as my hair. I have micros in my hair that I'm keeping in for a year. My hair is like an investment to my future. I'm just going to sit back and watch it grow before I cash in.

:spinning:

I see myself with midback length hair. I will start using this method BUT wait a minute...I already visualize my hair being midback:grin: so I will re-enforce it and keep saying it...great thread...btw...:yep:

I visualise my hair being bra stap for my 29th Birthday and Mid back for my 30th. I am already thinking of how to take care of my hair, as if it is already long.

And when I finally reach bra strap.. you will have to hold me back when Tony MATTERHORN - Dutty Wine come's on. :lachen::lachen:

May I stress I have never done that dance (you will never catch me on the dance floor when that song come on), however I will make an exception that one time .... :sekret:

The funny thing is that it seems the more you visualize your hair at a desired length, the more it starts to comply to what you think about. JMO

I read the book, "Ask and it is Given" by Jerry and Esther Hicks and speaks of not only visualization but writing what one wants.

I've done this all my life and i always jot down my hair goals on post its- sticking them everywhere...and you know what I've reached almost all of them on or before I thougt I would.

i continue to this everynight while in bed. Puts me in a good place before I fall asleep. you the mind is still at work when we sleep.

Great thread!

This is an excellent thread! I will visualize my hair being waist length and speak it into existence.:yep: If you believe it, you can achieve it. I've applied this concept to reach prior goals and I was successful.

It's true...the power of life and death is in the tongue. Keep speaking supernatural growth in all areas of your life including your hair growth. I also write all my hair goals down and review them every other day. Hey, you know what else makes this all very clear? Get hold of "The Secret" (either the book or the DVD). It will change your life!

I guess I've never specifically just thought about my hair, but I like to visualize myself in two years. I'll be living alone, finishing up grad school, working my internship, and I always have a full head of hair that hangs down to bsl my curly and mbl when straight, and my body is slamming, and I'm really happy. But it's like a whole picture that goes along with my hair.

I visualize two years ahead, and I always write them somewhere, and I look back and I love finding that my life actually matches what I wanted. I think visualizing it probably helps to focus your energies on achieving that vision.

That is so true!!!!! Whenever i take the bus ( 1 hour ride) i say to myself: Im happy now that ( insert goal here)"

I do this everyday and all my goals came true. Especially when it comes to sales objectives...I have met my sales goals that i imagined so quickly its scary!!!

Everyday i tell myself my goals as if they are already attained and i have a visualization power point about all the things i want to acheive.

I love this thread!:yep:

When read the title of this thread i immediately thought of the scripture that says "as a man thinketh so is he"

HoneyA, I was just saying that! I'm in the process of reading the Secret and in the chapter where it talks about visualization and speaking what u want into existence. This is so true & i'm tryin to put this into practice in all areas of my life, so I'm speaking into existence that I want my natural hair to be to my shoulders by this time next year--no doubt just visualization
