i was just reading a blog on how much people pay to do their hair and based on the pictures they looked like white women and they paid alot of money for their hair. I just was thinking sometimes how some girls complain about how much money we spend on our hair like for relaxers and wash and sets and how others dont have to do that but then reading this article made me realized that some actually do.. i see 70 for a hair cut and almost 150 for a color etc... so its not only us who spend a lot on their hair.. I mean im all for cutting back and diyself but sometimes its just easier to just get it done and now im not gonna feel bad at all if i decide to pay... cause you know everyone has that special thing that they pay alot for and its differes from person to person .. for one person it maybe be jewerly or clothes.. but everyone has their thing so if yours is hair its okay.. just make sure your stylist does your hair properly.. just wanted to share

IA. I think that people may get mad when they go to places like JCPenny or Supercuts and they charge more for AA hair.

Another thing is the prices may be the same or higher for non AA women but we tend to get our hair done every 1-2 weeks and they tend to go every 1-2 months for treatments such as cut/color. So for us the $ adds up rather quickly. JMO

I am a DIY but if I am pressed for time I will go to a salon.
Also I get all of my chemical treatments/trims done at the salon. (That is where I will spend my $)

Hair is the one thing I splurge on right now. Lately, I really enjoy doing it at home, but I never feel bad for going to the salon as long as I am taking care of my finances in other areas.
