The Waiting Game: Are you playing?

audacity.

Now that I have gotten my reggie down pat and solidfied, I know what nutrients are good for hair growing, I have learned all there is to know about growth and retention and I have come to accept all the terms of my hair journey - there really is nothing else for me to do but WAIT!

Waiting at this point in my hair game is the only thing that is going to get me to my goal. Sometimes I do get tired of the same ol', same ol' but I have seen too many instances (NuMe2004 to name one) where the waiting game paid off.

I know I am not the only one out there??? If you are playing the waiting game, too, chime in!

Yep, I'm playing the waiting game too:yep:, pretty much got my regimen down, I know what I need to do, so now I am waiting...for more length.

Yeah, I'm finally started to stick to a solid reggie. Now, I just need consistency, dedication and PATIENCE. I'll get there, one day at a time. My sister thinks I'm crazy to go through all this trouble and investment in hair care products and daily hair maintenance. But I want to prove to her and to myself that it will all be worth it!! I just have to sit down and wait for it to happen :perplexed. I'm patient though....I think:rolleyes:

YES LAWD...:ohwell:

and...

I JUST STARTED!

I can say that times that I wasn't scrutinizing, obsessing and longing for growth, I got it. I need to chill and stop looking. It'll come quicker for me. :yep:

ME ME~ I'm playing .

I'm new to the board but I've been lurking for a couple months I have the products that I think will work and a regimen that I think is solid. My hair feels better and it seems like there is growth, but we'll see when I relax in 4 weeks after a 12 weeks of stretching *that is so hard*.:look:

:welcome3:

This is exactly where I am.

I've done all my trials and errors (6 years worth). My regimen is simple and just right. Now it's all a matter of being patient.

Yes, indeedly!! That's why I joined the Hair Up for a Year challenge on another board - it's SO much easier to have patience when you aren't meddling with it all the time.

yuppers, my hair have been cut the way it should be, i have no more layers. i know what i have to do to get my hair to grow, i like the color. all i have to do now it wait for it to do its thing.

Great Thread!

I am playing....deal me in :yep:

I was actually talking about this with Artemis the other day. All I can do it wait. I am making some adjustments to my regime to hopefully remedy some pesky issues I have been having so I will see how they play out over the next couple of months. I stretched 12 weeks this time :yay: and it might actually be like 13 by time I get a chance to relax so I am making progress. I am going to have to lose some length soon but it is for the better good so I am not going to sweat it too much.

OT: Congrats on your 13 week stretch!!

I'm right there with you. I got my routine, I got my staples, I know what my hair likes, all I have to do is keep doing what I'm doing and not mess it up.

I've been on my hair journey for almost two years now with LOTS of setbacks. I know what my hair needs to grow and flourish. But my problem is handling this dryness. If I can fix my dryness issue I'd be set.

I'm gonna play the waiting game too.

I'm playing the waiting game.....Waiting for some newgrowth to pop out of my scalp :look: It's been over a month since my last relaxer, and I don't have any growth yet :cry3:

Yes m'am:yep:
My braids help with this though.Si don't hav to look at and constantly be playing in my hair.I mean i can;t keep my hands out of my hair when it is down.So braids it is until i get to a comfortable.Waiting ,tapping my feet and drumming my fingers.
But what else can i do,right?

hun that's the story of my life...
i'm always waiting.... waiting for my hair...waiting for a man.:lachen:. oh wrong topic. I'm glad im in this phase tho cuz i think about it less, which means im not messing with my hair that much. having a solid reggie feels great

I've have mastered this game I've been playing it so long. I been wearing my hair up in a clip or pony tail for the last few months trying to get past SL. It makes getting ready in the morning easy, but I'm sooo tired of the look.

:yep: waiting, waiting and more waiting! :dizzy: I think I got a good regime down to balance out protein and moisture, but I have been stuck at shoulder length for about a year and its so hard to make it past that hurdle! Definitely trying to fit in more protective styles.

I'm still in the WAITING to reach APL mode for over a year now! I turly think BSL will be a breeze once I reach APL.

I've decided not to complain, even when I see a big reveal of someone who seemed to have gotten there much quicker.

As a natural, I also have not staigthen my hair in over 2 years, so I really don't know how long it would hang.

Wigs have really helped me to do what I KNOW is right for my hair, without scarficing great style. I went on a great tonight with my hair coated in deep conditioner, and the guy was none the wiser.:spinning: I'm siiting here in my heat bonnet with deep conditioner in my hair as I type this.

Well I am definately waiting.... I was doing well then had a set back in my first month!:wallbash: I was like oh Lawd!!!! What did I do? But like so many sistas have said ... KEEP IT SIMPLE!! I was doing way too much and jumping on everyones bandwagon. :lachen:So this second month I'm gonna chill, do it simple, and wait and watch God do miracles with this head.

Yea...I've been playing the waiting game too. Now that I think that I have my regi pretty solid I'm waiting for the results to come in!

Im definitely playing the waiting game. I have had the same regimen for over a year now. It helped me get to APL and now Im **waiting** for it to get me to BSL. I use the same products but I am switching up when and how I use them...and I've been experimenting with new protective styles. I plan to try the curlformers and a half-wig for a little variety.
