The CHI arrived today

The CHI ceramic curling iron that I ordered from Ebay on Tuesday arrived today (Friday) WOW!

I tried it out on a small section of hair and I can say this: It does not snag like the Jilbere. That was my main reason for getting it, so I'm quite happy

Here it is:

Oh, and did anyone notice on Barbershop 2 when Ice Cube walked into the shop carrying boxes of CHI irons and blowdryers? Just trivia...

Supergirl,

This looks like a nice curling iron and I'm trying to convince myself to buy a Chi ceramic flat iron vs. a Conair ceramic flat iron. Why? What makes this curling iron that you bought so much better than a Conair one? I understand that the Conair is just ceramic plated whereas the Chi is all ceramic but does that really make a difference? What kind of difference?

Well, if the Conair is comparable to the Jilbere--then I'll tell you that the Jilbere snags the hair. Some ladies say that if you turn it up high enough it won't snag, but that didn't work for me. Plus, I can use the CHI on the lowest setting and not worry about snags. It's all about peace of mind--I would cringe everytime I would feel and hear that Jilbere snagging and pulling my hair out. It was 1 or 2 strand on every section I used it on. It just wasn't worth it to me

Thanks for the info, Supergirl.

I am convinced that I should buy a Chi flat iron instead of the cheapie Conair version. Of course, matters were helped along when an Ulta saleslady who also told me that they cost more for a reason! I will also buy from Ebay. I found a mini Chi Flat Iron 3/4 inch for $64! Not bad at all. Though, I probably won't buy it for another 2 months so I can resist using it!

Supergirl - when you plan to use your curling iron?

Yes, I think so! And I figured, I only get one head of hair and I'm planning to be natural for a long time. I've convinced myself that it's definitely worth it to pay the higher price for a quality product! Now, my only wonder is if I should get the curling iron, too!

So, when do you plan to use yours? Do you ever straighten your hair yourself?

I actually used it today so my hair could be cute for the Dallas meeting

I put 2 new pics in my album--take a look-see.
