That MSM Really Does Work

Well, I must have been lacking sulfur in my diet because the MSM is really doing something. I thought I'd try it for a while & stop if the side effects were too bad, but the only side effect I've had so far is very oily skin on my face. My hair is softer & shinier, and I don't even have to "grease" my scalp anymore. It is so oily that I have to wash it more. My hair is in great condition since I've joined this board. Now I hope the fo-ti does something. I liked my gray hair at first, but now they're just growing like weeds & sprouting everywhere. I want black hair without having to dye it.

what is msm? The internet service provider? Forgive my ignorance, I am new around here. Also what is fo ti?
Thanks
Daisy

MSM is the acroynm for Methylsulfonyl-methane. It is a dietary supplement high in sulfur. Do a search on MSM and you will find more information.

Fo Ti is Polygonum Multiforum. It is an herb derived from the dried roots of a Japanese evergreen.

You can find pure msm at the following web site

for a good price:

(and it took about 3 days for it to get here!)

I honestly don't know about the MSM making the scalp oilier. It's not a known side effect of this supplement. That's more likely in supplements like Evening Primrose Oil, or the oils from the Omega family (3,6,9)

Well, it's made my scalp oilier along with my face. I've been washing my face three times a day to get rid of the oil & also drinking more water in an attempt to avoid break-outs.
