I added the Twist out picture to my fokti. Check them out, I love that cream. Today after I finish dcing I'mma try this on my fingercurls.

How are y'all getting your twists to take up near your head? I did a twist out, but ended up using pony tail holders because I didn't trust the puffy roots. I do better with braid outs because I can braid tighter from the start.

When you do your twist, continue twisting into a bantu knot. Let the roots dry (I blowdry on low setting). This keeps the roots smooth and prevents puffing. Once the roots are dry, undo the bantu knot (not the twist) and let the twists dry. Results - beautiful twist/twistout, no puffy roots.

Pretty!!

That's great advice, never heard/thought of that before.

I tried several types of bands to holds my roots down and keep them smooth and ended up with too much tension when my hair dried and had too may broken hairs so I new I had to try something different (or go bald!). I noticed that when I did bantu knots, my roots stayed smooth and puff free, so I tried it with the twists - and it worked. I don't get the tension because my hair gives as it drys, so I don't get the broken hairs that the bands gave me. May not work for everyone, but it works for me! :yep:
