I've been on LHCF since last year, but was trying to do too much at one time. I've since gone simple and stopped trying to transition (wasn't working for me). I have learned that I can have healthy hair with a relaxer and I CAN grow past shoulder length.
Here are some comparisons:
1) Sept. 9, 2006 just after a shampoo and flat iron at the salon (5wks after relaxer)
2) TODAY... Just got my touch up after 8.5 wks. I got my touch up 1.5 weeks early because I have to attend a wedding tomorrow.
LEFT side is healthier and longer than RIGHT side (working on it).
I know my ends are not even, but I'm waiting for about 3-4 more inches before I even things out. Until then, I'm bunning and protective styling through the winter and having my mom do dustings for me every 2-3 months. I'm also employing the search and destroy method that some of the ladies suggested .
I have normally thick hair, so my uneven ends bother me a bit, but I know the uneven-ness doesn't matter while I'm bunning. As long as there are no splits.
THANKS LHCF Ladies.
