Mostly eery close woman I know has been seekin some help for their hair.

I have even called out of town to my cousin in VA to put the word about LHCF

 What put of VA?

I want black women to happier. This site is so much more than about hair. If we read everything about gettin your hair longer at the end of the day it ends about treating yourself and your temple good.

All of the woman are so supportive.
So about sistahood.

All the things we need.

I try to put people on to LHCF when they ask about my hair and stuff..but when I follow up with them to find out if they came here...they say no, I lost the website address, or it costs to get in....soooo now I just keep LHCF alllll to myself....when I first joined I was very excited and told all who would listen but now when someone ask what have I been doing to my hair to get it to grow...I just say wash and deep condition....this summer my SO sister saw me in a phony ponytail, she said girl I cannot wear a phony ponytail that's so little girlish like....BUT when she see me and my hair is longer than what it was the last time...she's like GIRL what are you doing to your hair...and I just say...I wash and deep condition once a week...when in fact I do way more than that...but she really don't care about all the details..I tried to tell her last year but it went in one ear and out the otha.....soooo for now I'm keeping this place a secret....:)

^^ Same here.....I tried to share, but most females I know want there hair to have that "done" look, you know, the "I just got my herr did" look and could care less about the health of their hair so I just do my thing and keep it movin'.

People have been askin me for years about my hair becuz of my beautician. My hair has been known to be healthy besides hardtimes. With the people I deal with life can be so hard we always have an open ear or so healthy advice to be of some help to better each other situation.

I been with my beautician for over 10years. Since I first cane to her with my hair totally jacked up at 14yrs old. Of course we have a relationship. I'm like her little sista.

I alternate btwn her and my Dominican girl cuz where she works now in downtown NY. The are expensive. Of corse she looks out for me. But my hair grows with her cuz she has ALOT of knowledge about hair health to the piont she has taught me. The most important she got love for me. I believe in that. Please dont have no evil folks in ya head.

okay now I'm ramblin

anyway
Me an My folks aways share knowledge for the better.

gotta to agree with Tsmith's comment

I want to talk about hair alot of times people just ain't interested in it or the work.

why you using those white people products blah blah blah..

Last weekend my sister saw my hair *growing and healthy ** and she was VERY interested until i mentioned what was involved (hard work)!!!

i can't be bothered...i'll just keep y'all to myself;)

some of the women I know dont have computers or working ones. But I was discussing some of the info I aquired an dsome I already knew and she flew out today and called me like.....I got this, this ,this.

But what ever works for. i just know alot of women that have been strugglin with they hair.

But like I said we just like that my cirlce of folks. Any negativity we rebuke it and have open arms for all that's positive. We share knowledge on motherhood...Life....relationship with God.....being happier women...looking good...fly clothes for cheap...fly clothes for not so cheap...everything

we are supportive to each other....how else would we make it thru

I agree. Not to mention if people found out that this is REALLY where I spend all my time, I'll really be seen as a nutcase.

Me too!!:)

i told one friend about it and she thought a website about black hair was stupid. oh well. and another friend went off on me for using s curl. so this website is staying a secret.

I feel the same about being excited about this forum and wanting to share, but when ppl ask" what you do to your hair to get it to grow" and I tell them what I use or what I do. They kinda look off like they are no longer interested( the products/ the work) and oh don't let me mention this site, they really start looking @ me like I'm crazy.
Now the ones I can't stand are the ones that you tell about the site, and they get on it,but they too darn lazy to read through the threads and want you to tell them every step and everything( I don't think so). When I logon to this forum I spend hours going through threads, looking up info on hair care ( yea I'm sprung) and I feel like they can to, Now I have given them the info about the website,so it's up to them what they do with it.
Maybe this part is selfish, but sometimes I think to myself. Maybe it's good they didn't get all into this site cause I feel like this is my ( Me time).I love this forum and will be a member til the end. (Yea even when ole Artha kick in(arthiritis)LOL

 WORKING IN THE TREASURE CHEST BUT POOR.:spinning:
Told the ladies at SALLYS today. I bought some more Dr. Miracles, KEMI, ORS CARROT. One says to the other, "See, told you, you should use this{Miracles}." Reply.."Yea, but I aint gonna buy it, so expensive then it doesn't work, I'll be mad." I told her yes, but isn't your hair worth it? Told her it's more than products it's how you take care of your hair. She did not know that combing from root to tip is wrong. LHCF was told to them both, one wrote the web site on a note pad. I'll see whether she bothered the next trip in.

I'm in the same boat. I've just given up. They all say the same thing... your hair's gonna fall out if you keep doing that or I can't be bothered. I just keep my mouth shut now.

Oh yeah! Some of the sisters at my job asked me why I had my hair in a bun. It was FREEZING last week in Chi city and I had to wear sweaters to keep warm. I told them I didn't like wearing my hair down when I wore sweaters.......I didn't want my ends brushing against the rough fabric and will porbably wear my hair in a bun for the rest of the winter. One of them said "Oh I never thought about that. That's kinda smart, but I have to have my hair did" :look: Then she wonders why her hair won't grow past her lower neck. :look:

LHCF is my personal little secret. I only share it with those that will truly treasure it and that's very few. ;)

i rep VA hard dangit :D .. I love this site but i kinnda wanna keep yall my own lil serect:look:

Dannygirl, I'm with you I'm keeping this site to myself because I discuss issues on this site that I might not discuss with people I know.:D

Yeah, I tried to tell my friend about this site and I told her where my hair is now. 3 1/2 to 4 inches and I'll be at brastrap.

This ***** said, "Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it." Come on, like I'm going to lie about something like that. Get real!

I try to help some of them out but they don't want to hear it so, :ohwell: . Oh well.

They will see when my hair is BSL at graduation but noooo, you didn't want to listen.

I tried to spread the word about this site to my people, but alas, big waste of time. When my horsetail capsules arrived in the mail and I was unwrapping them, a cousin asked me what they were for and I started the long story of silica and retaining length and yaddayadda. My eyes must have been glazing over with excitement or something  'cos she just gave me this look like I was crazy.

Another time I was talking to another cousin about co-washing and she was really interested in the site, but when I told her it was a $5 membership fee, she backed off! :ohwell: I'm like, so you would spend $70 on some sneakers but you can't spend $5 a year to learn how to properly grow your hair? Wow. In the words of the TGIFriday's commercials, she's not ready.
