I really didn't notice a difference in my length. I braided my hair yesterday and I'll just use it as a braid spray along with the oil.

I'm ready to take these braids out my hair has grown so much. I'm really trying to wait until January though.

This is my third week using Surge as I started on the 17th of November. Although I didn't have any "real" complaints with my hair before starting the challenge, I will say that my natural shedding seems to have decreased. I see less hair in the comb and when I wash. I will definitely continue using this product as I'm kinda anal about shedding.

Chipmunk I am with you. What kind of braids do you have? I have had individuals since October 21st, I wanted to keep them at least until the beginning of January, but I may take them out this week. I have 1 1/2 inches in some spots. I want my hair to look good for out Dallas meeting, and these braids are far from looking good in week 7. It hasn't even been 2 months yet. I gave the remainder of my newest bottle to my boyfriend's mother, I wanted to see if her edges would grow in. So I either have to buy a new bottle or scrap up from my old bottles. Maybe for this month I will get a full 2 inches of growth or more. I think by the end of December I will have more than 2 inches at the rate I am going (that will be 2 inches since October 21st).

I have been using this wonderful stuff for about two weeks. I am currently wearing my hair in twists/twistouts and I spray my hair every night. The growth that I have been experiencing is astounding!!!!! Naturals should def give this product a try!!!! I haven't experienced any hardness or dryness - only softness and growth, especially with wearing my hair in twists/twistouts now!!!! Hmmm I should start a challenge!!!

I am so happy with my Surge. I had to touch-up at week 5 instead of my usual week 8. My stylist was surprised when she saw my name in the appointment file, didn't expect to see me before xmas coz I ony go there for touch-ups. I'm getting braids the first week in January and will continue to Surge of course. I'm keeping them in for 2 months and expect to see a lot of growth in March.

I am going into week 2 of using Surge.I like it.It doesn't harden my hair at all.I can't tell if it helps with growth since I had a lot of growth when I started using it.I am getting a touchup soon and will be better able to gauge my growth from there.

I have Interlocks aka Crochet braids (depending on location). 2 inches since October 21st? You go head on girl. I'm having a hard time judging how much it's growing b/c I am not sure how much of my hair was already out of the cornrows from the start. I don't think I'll know until I take them out.

I asked my mother if I needed my hair done, she said "it can stand to be done." She usually says that it can last for a little while longer.

Well as of now I only have about 1 1/2 inches in some spots, and inch mainly all over. I judge this by the way my braids hang loose.

I've been using Surge now for about a month and I haven't noticed any astounding results. My hair is growing the way it has always grown. I can't in honesty say that Surge has caused a surge in my growth process. I will keep using - maybe I'll have a significan growth spurt later.

I'm 3 weeks into Surge and 6+ weeks into my relaxer and I can't tell if my hair is growing. Usually at 6 weeks I'm counting the days until the next relaxer so I'm not sure if it is the MSM or the Surge or a combination of the 2 because my new growth is so soft. Therefore I can't determine where the new growth starts but it itches like crazy. I like these products and they are definate keepers!

it still thickens...but i don't think it's pushing up my growth...
I'm gonna keep surging til January (or until the bottle runs out) and make my judgment then, especially since I don't start my new regimen until about 2 weeks from now, so I'll see what surge does for me.
But at this point, initially, as they promised, there seemed to be a surge of growth, but it seems to have declined...

Im still Surging away. I have about 6 weeks of new growth instead of the usual 4 weeks. Im still on my first bottle though, so as you can see I don't drench my hair, I just spray my scalp at night, then seal with jojoba or Healthy Hair in a Bottle (I would love to spray twice a day, but I prefer not to leave the house with my hair wet--too cold). I've said this before, but I think this is a good product if you have a particular area of your head that grows in slower or thinner.

I still using surge. My hair isn't breaking as often as it was before and since I haven't started anything nre I know it's the surge. Can't really determine how much new growth I have b/c of how soft the new growth is coming in.

I am loving the Surge. My hair has stopped breaking completely. Also, I spray only once in the evening.

It's 7 weeks since I started using the Surge. I got mine before the challenge begain. In the begining I used it 2x and my hair kept breaking more but I took the advice from a friend on this board and continued using it just. According to her hair sometiems need time to adjust to products. I reduced my usage to 1x a day at night.

I must say that my hair is in GREAT conditon now. It has stopped breaking it is alot stronger than ever. I really can't say that it is growing faster as a result of the surge but I am maintaing alot of grwoth.

Oh the hair on my hair line which was a bit thin and short has started to grow back -- SO I guess surge does promote growth then. (i forgot about that)

Hey Londondiva!! <Big waves> How are you?

I am now 100% natural and would like to try this "SURGE" that you guys are raving about. What does it stand for and where can I get it?

TIA!
Jada1111

I have been using SURGE for a month now and my new growth is
really hard to manage I am 10 weeks post relaxer.
My hair shed really bad if I dont relax after 6-8 weeks and I am surprised how I have less shedding due to SURGE.
I will difinitely keep using this product.

HI!!! I am so excited about receiving my SURGE. I ordered online from my neighborhood Walgreens. UPS attempted to deliver today, but I was not here

. However, I plan to be at home tomorrow when they do come. Can't wait to try this product. I'm natural, but still have thinner hair around my edges which I would like to see grow. I've also ordered the EMU oil that so many have raved about here. That I got from Walgreens and an MSM product as well.

Althought it's too late to be on the challenge with you guys, I hope to start my own progress/update report that will hopefully inform the naturals in particular how this product is working.

Thanks for all your help and God bless...

Are you using surge, where did you find it?

[/ QUOTE ]

I am, I am indeed. Wooo this stuff is fantastic!!

The wonderful Debyjay brought me 4 bottles over a few weeks ago on her trip to London. Pradalover PM'd me and told me you can get some in Juliet's in Peckham SE London
smile.gif
I'm going there this saturday to get some hair stuff to see if they have any as Saturday is touch up day.

I finally got my Surge at a local BSS and have been using it since December 5. I must say that this stuff is really moisturising. My hair is in braids and will be taking them out in January 2004. I'm currently only taking a multivitamin in my regime so that after about two weeks i will be able to tell whether my hair growth increased or not with the surge.

What's the nearest tube station to Juliet's? And, where do you get your hair done? Thanks!

this is my second week using surge and I can't tell if its working or not because I'm natural and all my hair is new growth. Any naturals that have had success with this product??? How can you tell?? Also to my relaxed sistas: Did you all notice change in 14 days or did it take a little longer?
