Have no fear, you'll do great. The first snip during my BC was the most exhilarating one actually . Plus you've done 14 months of transitioning so you'll have a good amount of hair to play around with. Good luck and dont forget those pics :D. -- jainygirl

I agree thats a good 7-8 inches of hair to work with. But of course wth the shinkage it doesnt feel that way sometimes:)

I'm staying relaxed. I would love to be natural but I just don't think I could control my hair. I think a relaxer is fine once you know how to look after your hair - shame it took me 13 years to finally learn how to though

I agree, now that i know how to care for my relaxed hair i'm going to stick with it.

I have thought about going natural, but i have alot of hair.I remember as a child my mother dealing with it...She would sit down take a breath and start going to town.... With relaxed hair I can deal with my witch hair and keep it healthy.

I think if I could have kept my relaxed hair healthy, I would have kept it. I have very thick hair. I have a thinner spot on the top. Everytime I relaxed , hair would come out and it would get thinner. I started going to the hair salon they only took my money and my time. I have been completely natural for a year. My thin spot has come in. It is not as thick as the rest of my hair, but getting there. I am not sure if I personally like being natural( to much time twisting, conditioning and finding styles) but my hair likes it( healthty, thick and growing like a weed) I occassionally go to another board that is very anti everything but natural. I don't feel like some natural sistas feel that putting a relaxing in your hair kicks you out of the sisterhood. We should not be dividing ourselves based on hair preference.
