I'm transitioning too, and that works for me. I co-wash the evening before and let it air dry overnight.
To help it dry a little faster, I have to either let it airdry 80% in 5 ponytails first then twist/braid it OR with a towel, squeeze (not rub) most of the moisture out of my hair before I twist/braid it. If I don't do this, my hair is still a little damp in the morning.
You may not have this problem, but I'm putting it out there just in case.

Since I am off of work this monday and I do my weekly wash on Sunday nights, I will let my twists air dry and see how they turn out the next day. If they are dry, then I know I can still do my washes at night and have dry hair the next morning in order to go to work. That has really been my concern, wet hair in the morning. I will give it a try. Thanks!!

Also, is it good for 24 hours? (I think I want to flat iron it) or per heat application?
How'd you get that right there?
I'm still wet bunning.
but now I have no splits and I can start from a good place. She didn't use heat which I was the happiest about. She was very gentle with my hair. I probably wont be going back though because the next time scissor will be going in my head will be when I BC.

Until recently, I was doing braidouts. They were ok, but I was getting some breakage, and I didn't like that. So, for the past few days I've been doing flexi-rod rollersets. The first day, I co-washed, conditioned and set with perm rods. I'll flexi-rod it every night for 4 nights, then I'll start over again. It itches if I wait longer. No breakage so far, just shedding.
