Spin Off: If not Red Lobster then where?

Legal Seafood.

There is one in Crystal City (Arlington) and one in Tysons.
Also on 7th St in DC
Also on Democracy Blvd in Bethesda

ETA: I've been told that Phillips on the waterfront is very good too.
I've also eaten at The Fish Market in Old Town Alexandria. They are good for oysters, clams, etc. Nice casual place.

Phillips is good!! The one is Bmore is nice as well. I love Phillips, because you definitely get your money's worth and be a seafood pig!!!

Man I just got a lot of date night ideas, some new and some old!! Great post!!

When you move to DMV try Oceanaire Seafood restaurant. Food was delicious.
Black Salt is supposed to be good also.

For tasty carry out seafood Tackle Box/ next to Hook (I haven't eaten at hook) in Georgetown.
Crisfields in Silver Spring is a neighborhood fixture.

It doesn't have to be fancy to be good. Definitely venture to Maryland/ Baltimore Harbor for a great blue crabcake sandwich.

**My moto is the less breading and filler the better.

lol! the DMV = the DC metropolitan area. northern virginia, maryland, and DC. not the department of motor vehicles or anything like that

Thanks, Pookie!! I've been seeing this abbreviation a lot lately, and I've been thinking, "Where in the heck is DMV?" LOL!!

Since I like in New Orleans I don't really like Red Lobster excpet for those bisquits, I prefer Acme Oyster house, Deanie's seafood, etc.

When I was in Boston I think a lot of people told me about Legal but that was back when I hated everything except shrimp lol

Yes, I LOVE LOVE Legal! I've never had a bad meal there and they have excellent customer service and allow you customize your food. So they cook and season they way you want and you can also order from the lunch menu anytime of the day. I also like the Oceanaire Seafood Room. I actually went there for a 1st date. Sad to say that was the highlight of the date. A story for another day. :lachen: The food was great but I think Legal is just as good IMO. I recently went to Bonefish or Grillfish I get them confused. It was OK. I had the pecan crusted trout. I may need to go back and try the lobster and crabcakes.

ETA: DC is has great restaurant options. I few others I like are: Lebanese Taverna, Ete (great ethiopian) Wolf Gang Puck's The Source (asian fusion) Guapos (great texmex) Capital
Grille. Next to try on my list is Central. Here's a link: http://www.centralmichelrichard.com/
