I came. I saw and I feel like I have conquered for my standards. I am tired of my natural hair! I'm just going to come right out and say it! here are the reasons why:

My hair is soo thick it's like I have 2 peoples hair on my head that's nice but not easy to manage in a rush
I can't do my hair in a rush before work in the morning
I want to be able to see the length of my hair! But I don't want to put heat on my hair...I'm tired spending a whole day braiding and putting beads its cute but way too time consuming.
I miss my hair blowing in the wind...so shoot me!!!

I'm going to walgreens now I'm buying 2 perms and I will post my pics later.

Thats great, Im glad you came to a decision you are happy with and that you are going to enjoy your hair the best way you can.

Cant wait for the pics!!!

J/k, do yo thang.

Whoa! Really??

Didn't expect that, but I know we've had that discussion before. Wow. Can't wait to see pics. :)

Wow!:spinning:

You have beautiful hair. It will look great either way. Whatever floats your boat:yep: Good luck:yep:

Cant wait to see pics:lick:

No need to apologize--it's your hair! :spinning: I felt guilty about perming my hair after being natural for most of college, well semi-natural (constant press). I just gave into peer pressure and I was tired of fighting the Florida humidity. Good news is--it's just protein growing out of your scalp. Have fun with it!

i know how you feel! i had guilt and a bit of shame i guess you could say for wanting to texlax. sorry but i'm being honest. i decided to cross over for the same reasons. i was tired of not being able to enjoy my hair, having to watch for the weather forecast to decide if i was going to wear it out, puffing right up after flat ironing, trying not to have the least bit of sweat come out of my pores and fear of it!
i did, was natural so now i just needed something to give me flexibility and versitility! to take that frizz away! i'm glad i did it! i'm so so happy now. i plan on getting a touch up like 4 times a year.
do you and be happy!!!

Welcome aboard my child. Relaxing does not mean that you do not embrace your natural hair!

(Even though I am entertaing the thought of becoming natural......nah)

This was my thing too. Natural for 4 yrs. I felt guilt and anxiety about relaxing, and debated back and forth for months. When I rinsed that relaxer out of my hair, I just sighed w/relief. No more tangles, no more shrinkage. Just comb down my wrap and go. I know so much about my natural hair and what it likes to do and not do, that it helps me care for my relaxed hair even better. :yep:

So, um, are the pics up yet?? :look:

Girl, do your thang!!! It's ok to change your hair. Do not apologize for doing so.
I can't wait to see the pics:yep:

Off topic: how do you like living in Atl?

Awwww.....shucks! :ohwell:

But at the same time...I'm in aggreance with everyone else:
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE UPDATED PICS!!!!

No need to apologize. If it was causing that much stress and grief, it was definately time for a change. At least you can say you tried it, didn't like it, and kept it movin :yep:

Can't wait for those pics! Hurry up, girl! :)

Ok yall I did it!! I crossed over! I will take the pics soon.. It was so weird combing the conditioner through my hair is the shower I had to keep looking in the mirror to make sure I wasn't bald becuase my hair seems so thin! I kept jabbing my scalp combing this thinner hair so aggressively. The comb just glides right on through! I just finished putting the rollers so after I dry it I will post the pics

I know exactly what you mean -- when I relaxed for the first time after years of natural hair, I thought I was going bald because the hair felt so thin. Definitely something to experience.

Congrats on your decision and doing what makes YOU happy.
