Someone left this in my Fotki Guestbook

I agree with the delete and keep it moving.

I think trolls have become more active here lately. Just a thought.

Girl, that is so sad that someone would take the time to write all that mess. I agree with everyone else, just delete the comment and forget about it. It's not even worth the effort to figure out the reason behind it:perplexed.

Fotki is open and available to everyone and their grandma... it's likely not someone that posts here. Looks like spam to me. Delete it and have a happy day! :D

It also looks like a copy/paste job that someone is going around sending to various people. Don't worry about it, if they aren't man or woman enough to sign their name, you shouldn't think twice about deleting them. And lock your fotki.

Ok ladies, I understand folks speaking their minds, but this is ridiculous! I don't lock my fotki, and I make invite people to give CONSTRUCTIVE critisism and advice, but I think I may be restricting access to it after someone had the NERVE to leave this "anonymous" message there:

"This is a classic case of what is wrong with black people today, you want to be your true African self but the other part of you is still suffering from the psychological trauma of being oppressed by the global white minority.

Therefor like fools you want to reflect the same image of a group of people who alraedy believe they are superior to you. This nonesense needs to stop, black women you need to stop handing over your hard earned cash to the Korean store, and know thyself and therefor BE yourself. Its this giving up mentality that will be the ruin of black people. Many of you know the commitment that locking our hair requires, the patience involved etc. However if you are not prepared to build the patience and charcater involved and the spirtuality that comes with having locks ....it is better that you give up. I wish people would have the sense enough to know that loving yourself means being yourself.

Locks = FREEDOM. Freedom from the self hate that allows black women to spend hard earned cash on fake hair, the freedom to form how other people percieve you.ie. as a black person who loves themselves and is not afraid to be non conformist."

Come on ladies, I need some feedback, or someone to step up and be woman enough to not hide. What do ya'll think about this?

If I were you, I'd leave it there. Take some more pictures of your fabulous hair and let that person kiss my ***. People are stupid, chalk it up to that. If that's how they feel, they can keep it to themselves. But don't let it get To YOU! Laugh at it and keep it moving.

I JUST CHECKED MY FOTKI AND THIS ANONYMOUS PERSON HAS LEFT THIS SAME NON-SENSE UNDER ONE OF MY PICS. SOME PEOPLE HAVE NO LIFE AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS. IF THEIR TRYING TO INSULT AND PASS THE "NATURAL " WORD ON ON FOTKI IT WOULD OF HELPED FOR THEM TO READ AND ACTUALLY GO THROUGH IT...BECAUSE MY FOTKI CLEARLY STATES THAT I'M GOING NATURAL...I ACTUALLY AM NOW. THIS IS A DAMN SHAME....I NEVER LIKED LOCKING MY FOTKI BEFORE BUT I'LL HAVE TO START DOING THIS NOW:nono::nono:.

I'M SORRY THAT THIS HAPPENED TO YOU AS WELL....BUT I'M PRETTY SURE WE WONT BE THE LAST. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE JUST CANT KEEP IT MOVING...IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE GO ON YOUR MERRY WAY...WHY STOP TO INSULT SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT LIKE YOU....SIMPLY CHILDISH

So, what is your response to this? What would you say?

my advice: delete it and keep it moving......

sometimes folks have nothing else better to do than try to get under your skin. don't give 'em the satisfaction.

>delete comment>

ITA. Some other people have the same comments in their fotkis. Sounds like a kid needs to go back to school ASAP.

Well....

Someone had a bad day when they wrote that comment.
I'm sorry but i could just chuckle when i read that comment b/c it is soooo ridiculous.
Does this person really think anyone will stop using relaxers b/c of this comment?

*OMG I must free myself from the opression and get some LOCKS*:look:

Just do whatever youre doing and enjoy yourself, the nice thing about having a own mind is that you get to choose what you do with yourself:yep:

I'm sorry this happend to you.

There's a saying, "Remove the kinks out of your mind, not your hair."

Many of these "conscious" folks need to be quiet.

What you choose to do with your hair has no bearing on her. As has been posted everyone if Africa doesn't have and didn't have locs. There have been tombs uncovered from the ancient Egyptian area where ornate combs were buried with some women.

ANOTHER TROLL:nuts::nuts:PLEASE DONT LET THAT GET TO YOU.KEEP DOING YOU. IF THEY WHERE SO FREE THEY WOULD NOT HIDE NOW THAT WHAT I CALL FREE:lachen::lachen:YOU BE BLESS:bighug:

I'd delete it like it never happened. Whoever it is must love that it got this strong of a reaction and this much attention. :(

Yes, Lil Wayne and Lil John are so FREE, they are the epitomy of self-awareness and a shining example to The Race. Lock up NOW and save yourselves ye oppressed relaxed, weaved, and chemically altered unenlightened ones.

I can at least respect people who stand behind their convictions. Anonymous = COWARD.

LOVE IT!!! :lachen:

Wow...now I see why people have passwords on their albums. If they dont have nothin' good to say or some constructive criticism they can keep their lil' comments to their self...

NOooo, not my girl!

You know I'll posse up with you anytime. I got yo back!

I like how you left it in the fotki and didn't delete the message.

Whoever did that, needs to find a more positive way to express their views.

I don't think a belligerent message like that accomplishes anything.

Wow! I can't believe the person posted this same message in others' fotki albums. They really need to get a life.

To me, having locs is only freedom from relaxing your hair and combing your hair. Unless the locs are organic or freeform, that person has to re-twist or re-latched their new growth every few weeks or months just like relaxed ladies who touch-up their new growth with chemicals. So that person really isn't free from any type of manipulation.

Freedom is the state of being free in choice and in action...

Locks are just a ropelike hairstyle achieved my matting/twisting strands of hair together...

LOCKS do not equal FREEDOM.

But hey...you can LOCK your album to have FREEDOM from ignorant comments like that anonymous person.

Statements/comments like that are hilarious to me. I personally think folks go around trying to preach and recruit folks in order for it to make sense to themselves why they choose to do what they do. Save the BS for all those other weak minded folks like yourself who don't know why they do what they do.

It is just dumb to me because, the way that I wear my hair is my own decision. My ablility to make my own decisions is what makes me "free". I feel that if I have to BE a certain way to prove my "blackness" and how "down" I am with my "people", then there is no freedom in that at all. It's crazy how someone who is so "free" can be so close-minded.

Good point!

ok. I had to breathe before I responded.

What a coward to throw a slam then disappear off into the night. That miserable ill-mannered lil cow is just a sad, clueless, causeless rebel and you should write her off. :yep:

That's pretty much what I needed to say. :) I realize that calling her a ***** isn't ladylike.... but right now.... I'm not sure I care. :p hehe

K so the gist im getting is that cuz u wore kinky twists for a while ur a sellout. Whoa dats extreme! I really feel its ok if u want to change ut up. Dependency on weaves and such things, would then lead me to think its kinda like an acceptance issue. I don't get the natural hair nazi's hoenstly. Theres a difference between being enlightened and being crazy:look:

YEa, I bet that person made a decision for themself (probably locs), regretted it when they realized they weren't so sure about it afterall, then got all self righteous and decided to attack everyone else out of spite/jealousy.

This reminds me of a poster who came on here one time or was once a member. She still might be lurking somewhere but I will say what I've to say.

She was telling all the members how they should basically give up trying to have long hair cause black women don't have long hair. And guess what, she posted her pic and she was black with long hair. :wallbash:

Doesn't make sense to me for somone to tell another person they can't achieve something when you already have.
