:lachen:The first time I went in Ulta, the angels started singing and I thought I would DIE from sensory overload! I spent a good 2 hours reading labels and drooling over products! :lovedrool:

The first time I went to Ulta, I walked out $300 poorer. But hey it was all stuff that I REALLY use lol

They have cheap/free shipping, so I get my cholesterol conditioner and other cheap products/accessories/tools because there are no black BSS in my immediate area.

Yep. I'm too lazy to take the bus or train. Plus, taking the time to go over there and carrying heavy bags back... it's better to just order from sally's.

I buy all type of stuff there

Wrap and Tap lotion
relaxer - which I need to go pick up to have when I need it
conditioners
hair dryers
curling irons

end papers, and some curlers... thats it.
I don't like the selection of hair products they have. Except ORS.. but the ORS replenishing conditioner they had was too expensive.. almost 10$ for the small bottle.
There's a beauty supply shop Downtown Toronto (dundas/bay) that sells ORS for pretty reasonable prices.

I get something different every time I go in there. Last time I got 2 bottles of Proclaim Natural 7 Oil - the original and the one with olive oil.

Before that I bought some deep conditioners that I hadn't used before so that I could use them once or twice to see if I liked them - Salon Care Cholesterol, Motions Moisture Plus, Proclaim Cholesterol, and Silk Elements MegaSilk.

I have a tabletop hood dryer that I bought at Sally's. I have a Jilbere comb and perm rods from Sally's also.

The only thing I can think of that I bought from Sally's more than once is the ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner.

On my next trip to Sally's I plan to buy Quantum clarifying/chelating shampoo.

I like their magnetic rollers more than those at other BSS. I got my Caruso Rollers, Soft Bonnet Dryer and DC cap from there.

I don't get any actual hair products from there; what I get is combs, brushes, bobby pins, rollers, clips, applicator bottles, scissors...

Oh wow.. I get a lot of stuff from there.. :lachen:

Oh yeah, the magnetic rollers. I got those at Sally's too, when I bought my hair dryer. I bought all of that when I stopped going to the salon every 2 weeks and I started doing my own hair.

-Bobby pins (the one's in the octagonal container)
-Aphogee 2 min
-ION products (DON'T SLEEP ON THEM!)
-Shower combs, denman, hard rubber combs (good quality)
-Mixing bottles
-Roux Porosity control
-Mani/Pedi products
-A select few of the GVP products

But, I'll admit since I've had Ulta in my life, Sally's is an afterthought. They just don't have one here :(

I recently purchased Ion conditioners, generic brand conditioners, Wild Growth Oil, Turbie Towel, Dr. Miracles Anti-Breakage Cream. I keep forgetting to get the Hair One Cleansing Conditioner. I will probably purchase Caruso steam rollers next year.

I buy all my aphogee products and silk elements line from Sally's. I also by GVP Joico KPac as well. Other than that Im a hood Beauty Supply girl all the way.

I went there the other day and bought: Denman brush (love it so far), Aphogee products, proclaim cholesterol conditioner.

Lol @ the title. I too haven't had much luck finding things there.. aphogee, roux, and shower comb. As oppose the my corner bss where I can get anythig I need and some things I don't all for half the price.Visits to sallys are few and far in between

Rollers, combs
Hair one

These products are cheaper at Sally's
Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1
Elasta
Motions
Roux

I get my silk elements relaxer, aphogee products, and rou porosity control from sally's. They have the hair one cleansing conditioner that I want to try.

Like many of you I have purchased:

The Denman
Shower comb
Rollers for roller setting
spray bottles

I was just there this weekend and I did not purchase anything. I wound up walking a few blocks down to Ulta.

I love Sallys they have theings there that I can't get at the black beauty Salons. Most of the products I buy are not "african american hair products" anyway except oil sheen.

I buy the following from Sallys

Hair Color Applicator
Hair Color
Hair Color Developer
Oil Sheen
Hair Clips of all kinds
Curling Irons and Blow Dryers, etc

I buy from Sallys

Cholesterol conditioners, sample packets of whatever other conditioners I may want to try, my relaxers, clips of whatever sort I need, breakfree if they have it when I'm in there.

I also do quarterly online orders of everything I need/want. I tend to overspend and go product crazy in the store so I am way better off just ordering online.

Sally's doesn't have a large variety like most BSS'. There are a few things I get there:

Motions CPR
Duckbill clips
Nail polish
Silk elements mayo
Hair One Olive Oil Cleansing conditioner
Roux products
Ion products (Color Defense Hydrating Moisture Treatment)
Shower caps

I have noticed that some of them have far fewer items on the shelves than others. There are several in my area.

I get my:

Good Day Hair Pins
Proclaim Aloe Styling Gel
Bigen Permanent Powder Hair Color (if I don't wanna go to Wal-mart)
Sterile piercing supplies (have in the past purchased from there)
Nail Care supplies
Motions Nourish Leave-In (if not found elsewhere)

*I only visit Sally's maybe once or twice a year...I prefer the "Asian/Black BSS" anyday. The one near my home is about the size of a grocery store or a bit larger. It should be called HAIR CITY. And, may I add they are very professional and even offer refunds! The other stores in the city can't compete as far as the sheer volume of products and stuff for sale.

Sally's Let Me think: Neck Strips, Plastic Caps, Shower Comb, Coiled Cotton, Spray Bottles -- those types of things.:look:

As Far as Product: Porosity Control, Ion Effective Treatment...More so, PC as it is a definite Staple.

man, i never buy lots of stuff. i only get silk elements deep conditioners and lustrasilk DCs. A lot of their stuff has ingredients I don't like.

Now let me be at a Whole Foods store in the hair department, that's a different story...

I kinda of agree with you about Sally's:
* It is good if you want probably combs, applicator bottles, Silk Elements products, or even flat irons and finally, dryers.
*Particularly, I like it for Facial Masks, One N Only Age Renew Hair Treatment Masque, Sally's Hydrating Conditioner but that is it.

Just got the silk elements cholesterol for 3.99 to try. I also go there for rollers, brushes, misc supplies. Though I have not found a staple conditioner in there yet! Im more of a Trade Secret/JCP girl.

I've purchased aphogee, porosity control, magnetic rollers, bottles to mix stuff in, I bought a satin pillowcase, a pair of hair scissors, caruso rollers and purchased my standup blow dryer from there as well. I also tried their Paul Mitchell Generic and I hated it, so now I stay away from Generics.
