So what are you ladies doing to speed up your hair growth?

Doing nothing to speed up growth, however I want to retain as much as possible. Right now I'm wearing braids and I am 30 weeks post relaxer and working toward 1 day shy of 33 weeks lol..

Retain, retain, retain...

You just reminded me to stay on top of my iron supplements :yep:

I'm taking iron pills for low blood which has also increased my hair growth to the norm .5 a month when before I was getting .25 a month.

Right now I'm just working on retaining what I already have. My hair is growing good :)

I either bun it, wear a high ponytail so my ends won't pull on my collar, etc

i won't be flat ironing any more (at least a year i think). i tried to use heat last month for a length check and trim, and to help rid my hair of single strand knots. all it did was make my hair dry and loosened the curl pattern WAY too much for my liking. so i have been much more diligent about protein treatments and DCing to nurse my fine strands back to health. i gotta find a better way to take care of my ends and the knotting. so far i've been rocking two strand twists during the week, and sealing with coconut oil in the mornings and before bed.

The coffee rinses have helped greatly reduce my shedding & increased retention. Other than that, I just keep my basic reggie. Also trying to eat right/exercise- you know, the boring stuff.

I do the same thing. I take my GNC hair, skin, nail vit mon-fri in the morning at work just b/c it makes me consistant.

Bought some hair, skin and nail vitamin's a couple of months ago - haven't been taking them as instructed but I take one a day Mon - Fri....There obviously haven't been any drastic progress but there has been some noticible progress. So much to the point where the next bottle I get will be taken as instructed...

1. Eating right and drinking water.

2. Taking high potency Biotin.

3. Washing once a week for a clean scalp.

4. Overnight DC's once a week.

5. Detangling and combing gently.

6. Lightly buttering up and oiling ends and hair shafts ere' night.

7. Wrapping with satin scarf at bedtime.

8. Wearing protective styles 95% of the time (out on Fridays).

9. Setting aside extra time to style so I am not rushing through and ripping out.

10. Not so much about growing fast...but just taking care of and retaining what I have and having patience.

Nothing. I'm just fatigued and broke. I'm all out of Biotin and Mega Tek. This long hair business is expensive ya'll. Right now I'm focusing other other things that are enjoyable in my life.

Alcohol dehydrates your cells, which is probably why it inhibits growth. I apply a sulfur mix, drink about 1-2 L of water per day (mostly for my health, not hair), eat lots of protein, take HSN vits and other supplements, PS all the time, and keep my ends moist. I also massage my scalp.

I'm exercising - primarily for my body, but the fact it helps my hair is a motivation. Specifically for my hair, I'm using MN. :look:

I am taking Sulfur for my scalp, and I take hair, skin, and nail vitamins. Not sure how well they are working considering I am a fast grower anyway...maybe I will run a trial of with and without.
