Learning more about your hair, defining your "staple" products, figuring out which styles suit you best, more hair goals...I've been natural for going on 5 years and although cliche', I really do learn something new about my hair often!

i think 2nd year you'll find your staples and add a few more. You'll be heading towards APL so detangling will be a little more work, but this is the time where you protective style to the fullest so you won't deal with that dreaded hump.

Learn how to do cute styles, because when I was at that stage, I felt stuck at buns and twistouts. Fight the urge to flat iron a whole lot.

Take lots of pics. Things will seem to move fast because in another year, you'll be at a completely new place and you'll want something at which to look back.
