SMH at our own misconceptions about our hair

When i use to measure my hair, i measure the actual strands from the root to tip, not from the hair line back, because if u think about it, nine inches from ur nape is gonna fall way lower down than 9 inches from ur crown or bang area. Its more accurate IMO. It also helped me understand that hair by nature does not and cannot grow even, which is why i don't understand why stylists insist on evening up ur hair every touch up. As soon as ur hair grows it will be "uneven" again.

I hope i'm making sense.

I think I measure the same way. I was really talking about what I am measuring my hair with, as oppossed to how. Nevertheless, it's still short. :nono:

Yeah, I'll be waiting too :yep:

When you show her, be sure to take a picture, so we can see the crunched look on her face

Indeed because we all know shes not going to give me a compliment..unless its one of these...":ohwell: oh.. your hairs getting long.....its probably because our grandparents are mixed/your son is mixed and when you were pregnant with him, your chemical make up was altered/you are hanging around with your husband so much, your hair folicles are starting to assimilate with his/the sky is blue..

I'm trying to retain every piece of growth I get, and she doesnt believe that there can be two textures on your hair. I used to believe this too...that once your natural hair starts to take over, the perm will break off. I mean, if youre not careful it will since its so weak at the line of demarcation, but if you know whats up, you can keep it until you decide to start cutting.
