Well I used the regular one last time but it got me bone straight. I kinda wanna try mild but dont know if Ill be underprocessed. The last time I used a mild lye(elasta qp), my hair was kinky in 4 weeks so I dunno... I think I kinda wanna texlax cuz I dont like the really straight look

I used the mild. (thought i had a reg. until my friend said...Girl this is a mild) It did great on my hair.

I love this relaxer. It's a keeper for me.

I Just got done relaxing with silk elements lye and I am in heaven  my hair has never been so silky, bouncy, with lots of shine. This is definitely a Keeper, I am about to stock up on silk elements, GOODBYE MOTIONS. And I deep conditioned with the mega cholesterol conditioning treatment for 45 minutes this is also by silk elements. there products are the best thing out, plus the prices are great for anyone on a budget I definitely love that. Ladies if you haven't tried it please do, This stuff is AMAZZZING lol Im headed toward bra strap might be there now :shocked:god bless

Did you texlax or get it bone straight with the mild?

Bump, I wanna know this too. I am thinking about going with the mild for my front and having my sis apply the reg to my back areas.

After hearing everyone rave about this relaxer I used it last month and fell in love. No burning no hair loss and my hair came out really nice and straight in a short amount of time. I have thick 4a-b hair so this is a for sure keeper for me:yep:!

I used it and loved it. I didn't burn at all but I based my scalp the night before and right before application. I haven't gotten had any breakage yet I can't care for my hair as well as I usually do because I had an operation on my ear and it has to stay bandaged and dry for the next month. So far so good.

I'm defintiely sold on this relaxer!! I used the mild, but my hair is fine/meduim texture and my hair was straight :) No burning at all for me.

You used a mild on that beautiful thick mane of yours?!?! And it came out like that. Do you texlax or relax straight?

I olt my sis that i wanted to use the mild and she told me she wasn't gonna help me then. She said my hair is too nappy for a mild:lol:. Since a reg underprocessed her.

I think she was just playing.:look:

I've been looking a that damned pink tub for months now and when I went to Sally's what did I do? I got the brown one with the shea butter just because it said Silk Elements. :look:

I got a regular, so lets's see if it works as well as the one in the pink tub. I relax either tommorow or at the end of the week.

so which one are you ladies using?
the silk elements with shea butter? or something else?
i'm seriously considering buying this before my appt for a touch-up Thursday!

I use this one in regular. I will prolly switch to mild when I run out, but since I have several 4lb tubs, I guess I'll be adding EVOO to it.

What's wrong with the reg? Is it too harsh for you hair?

For the record, I use the regular in the bronze tub too, and it isn't harsh on my hair. I don't smooth like crazy like my former stylist used to, I just lightly smooth and let the relaxer do it's magic. It straightens and still leaves lots of body in my hair. I can't ever see switching from the Regular formula. :D

No I don't think it's to strong, I mean i haven't suffered any dryness or other damgae from it. It just got me VERY straight very quickly. I am a lil slow in applying my relaxer so I like to have a little wiggle time so I don't have to worry about over-processing.

But you said Bantu left you underprocessed, so I think the only problem you would have with the reg is maybe underprocessing. If your hair can biyatch slap Bantu, you gots some SKRONG locks! I have NEVUH met anyone who Bantu underprocessed.

I decided I was going with the regular. Did you decide?
Yeah, Ive decided and Im gonna do mild. If Im not pleased with the results, then Ill go back to regular and deal with the really straight look for about 4 wks.:ohwell:

Girl, I had to do a corrective in two areas (with Bantu) and they STILL wasn't straight. I just took that as a sign to keep it moving the texlaxed way.

But Mizani got me straight. If this fails I will be back to Mizani Reg, just texlaxing instead of straight.

Thanks Shunta, I relax on Wednesday night and I will let you ladies know how it goes!

Ooooh Please let us know how it came out for you because I'm trying to decide on SE Mild or Mizani Fine and Color treated since I have virgin hair fresh out of braids. I went to my local Sally's and they only had the Boxed No Lye version... what's up with that??

Does SE have a website? I can't find it on google... Thanks!

okay, this is by far the best relaxer that I've ever used. It does exactly what everyone said that it would do. My hair is so silky straight it's rediculous. No chemical burns either. Ladies, If you haven't tried this you don't know what you're missing!:p ;) :)

I'm going with this one, price, quality and ease of purchase makes this a good decision for me...

Thanks ladies!

I answered my own question, my SBS has it, I just didn't know what to ask for. I'm going with the SE Mild. I'm doing it this weekend because I have to be able to workout without having a bush head. Now that I know about all these great conditioning techniques and cowashing, this is going to be the best for me. I will still wear my protective styles, but I can wash or co wash often and just wrap and dry under my ionic hood with low or no heat, my hair will thrive like this!!! I'll set up my my stats when I get my program down. This is so cool, thanks for this thread ladies!!

Plus I'm taking my vitamins - - - !! Woo Hoo - - !!

Me

Its cuz it started burning

So id rather use one thats not so strong like SE and work it for a bit longer and see what happens :) then to burn my scalp off

Okay Shunta,

Girl you DEF will need the mild relaxer. I relaxed today (dcing under the dryer now) and my hair got Super straight! Some places bone straight! But the back is straight but not too straight or too texlaxed-perfect. I pulled the relaxer down on some parts of my hair (purposely overlapped) since I am not doing the texlaxing thing anymore. *shields from LHCF*

I wanted it straight but not bone straight. Oh well. I'll deal. I got some good news that I will share in another thread though.;)

Anyways, it burned like Bantu! This relaxer burned the fire outta my scalp. I'm usually a dog when it comes to burning and I can withstand a lot but my little water bottle saved the day. I had to keep spritzing areas till finally I had to let go. I let it stay in for 9 minutes, rinsed out the front, got out the shower and stood another 4.

I based with a petroleum based baser AND with oil. It was burning so bad but I am glad my sis was here to help (love ya sis).

I will def. get a mild for my front (the part that got bone straight-but it's cool, I keep it short for my bangs anyways) and the reg. for my back hairs!

Oh yeah and whoever said this relaxerleaves your hair feeling like silk IS THE TRUTH! Even though some parts are bone straight my hair feels like silk. I was shining even through the relaxer. All in all I am very happy!!!
