Does anyone still use this? How often can you use it?Can you use it often as in cowashes? Is it considered protein or moisture conditioner?

I still use mine once per week, but not straight up anymore. I mix it with miss keys 10 en 1, some aphogee, and a tsp of amla oil. I've never used it as a co wash, but I suppose you could.

Eat: It has keratin as well as dimethycone and cyclomethicone so it has both protein and moisture locking ingredients.

I consider it a light protein conditioner since it has keratin and ceramides in it. I deep condition with it once a week on dry hair, then saturate with Vatika hair oil, sit under dryer for 10 to 15 minutes, and wash etc as usual. Works great for me. Love love love it!

Never tried co-washing with it but I suppose that you could.

I CW with it straight no chaser, just not very often. If I use it two days in a row, on the third day I'll shampoo. It's most definitely an all-purpose staple for me.

I laid off of using it for a while. I'm transitioning and I fell in love with it and I think I OD'd so I put it away for a while. It was wonderful for detangling.

It is a good mix of light protein and moisture.

I believe you can use it to cowash but not more than once a week.

I don't think it would be good as a daily cowashing item.

Energist, I'm feeling that mixture. I think I want to try that soon.
I'm on the buy nothing for May challenge but I'm such a PJ that I already have all of those items in my closet :bouncegre

Silicon Mix is good stuff. The mineral oil was a HUGE turn-off in the beginning, but it works! And that's what matters.

I LOVE IT! I bought a HUGE tub of it! I use it EVERY wash day. My hair can't get enough of it. And I like the smell too!

I know mineral oil, cones etc. aren't considered healthy for our hair but it works for me!

lol, you can go shopping right in your own closet  Yes, I think you'll love the mix, especially with a tight rollerset and airdry, or even a braid out. Which reminds me that I have to pay your fotki a visit soon.
