I think that Silicon mix can't be used at every wash or else we risk 'cone build-up. If it is to be used often, I think clarifying would be beneficial.

Oh! That must be why my hair feels like that. I've been using it too often.

I love Silicon Mix. Been using it faithfully for a year and a half!

I really wasn't a fan for the longest. But the more natural hair I have, the better it seems to work for me. I normally put it on after washing and leave it for about 30 minutes (no heat). Great slip afterwards.

it didnt work for me and it smells like some kind of cleaning product.

The smell is way too strong for me. I had bought the 60oz jar of the conditioner and a gallon of the shampoo. I think I'll have this forever. I never thought of mixing them with other products...that may be a good way to use it up.

I'm so in love with this stuff-still. If nothing else works to detangle and soften my hair, I always turn to this. Any hair mishap or debacle I have, SM is the clean-up kid...you just have t/b sure to clarify or chelate. I wouldn't recommend using it too often.

I had to learn the hard way about using it too often, but now I like it. I use it maybe 2x a month.
