FREQUENTLY ASKED CLIENT QUESTIONS
WILL THIS LAST LONGER THAN MY STANDARD PRESS AND CURL SERVICE?
Stylist and client testimonies share that their straight styles are lasting much longer when using the ThermaSmooth System than with the traditional press and curl service. Most state that their style is without frizz and reversion for about 2 weeks or until shampooed! With the added benefits of Advance C3 Complex, the hair’s natural elasticity is not compromised which allows a healthy transition from curly to straight look without the concern of over-straightening over time.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REGULAR PRESS AND CURL AND THE THERMASMOOTH SYSTEM?
Regular press and curl services generally focus on the straightening of hair with pressing oils and tremendous heat . The oils can smother the hair strand causing the hair to be left with minimal movement and a weight bearing oily finish. The hair most often has limited if any thermal protection leaving the hair strand open to excessive heat damage and breakage.
Using the MIZANI ThermaSmooth thermal straightening system service gives the hair the best opportunity for conditioning, strengthening, and protection starting from the first step of the system. The hair is left smoother and shinier with weightless healthy body and flexible movement. The hair looks and feels better than ever!

You ladies are the best!
I had no idea that some ppl were going through the same thing! I just put it out there b/c I'm so on the fence that it's ridiculous! And Hopeful was right on the money when she said that either way I'm losing something I love. I never really looked at it that way, but that's exactly the dilema. I love my relaxed and natural hair equally for different reasons. I think what contributes to me craving straight hair right now is the fact that I do ppl's hair on the side, and all of them very long relaxed hair (I'm talking bra strap of longer - one lady has hair like Kimora
). I flat iron 2-3 heads every weekend, and I do a relaxer every 2-3 weeks. And when they leave with those silky straight, swinging heads, I remember ***sniff*** when my hair used to do that. In fact, the reason I started doing hair at home was b/c ppl wanted me to make their hair as straight as mine.
I got a nice curly one when I was transitioning, but it was done with a cap, and the lady that does it really specializes in curly styles. Is there any particular method of doing a straight sew in that makes it look flat and natural? I'm not big on weaves, and would only want to rock one if I could get it to look as realistic as possible.
and like some posters said before transitioning is no fun at all. also I think straight hair all the time is over-rated. Also I remeber my hair never relaxed straight it always kept some curl (2b/c)and would still frizz up in very humid wheather just like it was natural when it was relaxed I've got some thick, natural curls, so I still had to abuse heat to get my hair super-straight. If I'm going to have to do the straighting work anyways why should I pay for a relaxer? Relaxers or harsh chems in general just don't go with me, even regular haircolour can burn my scalp, my hair started falling out 3 months after my very 1st relaxer then it just went downhill form there. So really try the sew- in weave, or a wig before you comit to bone-straight all the time.
