Everyone's hair looks so good................................................................................resist the henna, resist the henna

Are you ladies using the Powder form of Henna or the Cream?

If you use the cream how do you make sure it gets all over your hair?

Which would you recommend for a Henna Virgin?

I saw on a website that the cream comes in 2oz in a tube, just wondering if you have to thin it out with something so you have more.

I'm so happy I tried it after seeing the success so many ladies had on the forum.
Here's my hair after six hennas:

I've never heard of the cream form. I use Jamila Henna (body art quality) powder. I ordered from hennaforhair.com but now I know of a place around the corner from my house that sells Jamila Henna so I'll be getting it from there going forward.

I  your henna results!!
And of course, yours Dlewis. You do have henna in yours, right?

I just henna'd.

It wasn't as bad or as messy as I thought it would be.

But did ya'lls hair get hard after the initial rinse?

Mine did, then got harder after the shampoo (it scurred the BE JEBUS outta me!), but the softness returned after conditioning.

But PRAYZ DE LAWD- it covered my grays!!!

& my hair feels stronger!

I thinky I likey!

Congratulations AKA-Tude! I'm glad it turned out ok for you. I wonder if yours got hard because it has protein...Thanks for sharing your success!

Let us know how yours worked too Stilletos.:)

Thanks Isis!!!

AkaTude!!! Wow, your color!!! What did you do to get it that red? Was your hair already red or a very light color? Its soooooo pretty. If you used ACV or lemon juice in your mix, that will make your hair dry on the initial rinse. If you add a moisturizing conditioner and/or some essential oils then your hair should be softer at the initial rinse.

I have been wanting to try this but am scared. It seems quite complex and i have no idea how or where to start.
Henna isn't hard or messy to use. compared to Clairol and Bigen:lol: I use Dulhan Deluxe Heena Powder ($1.99) 2 tbl amla oil, 2 tbl amla powder and hot water to make a paste like yogurt. I let it sit for 2 hrs near a ceramic heater, add 2 tbl SE Aloe and Shea Butter Cond mix, apply, let sit for 2 hrs, rinse with Suave con, 1 wash, then deep con.
It's so easy.......

DLewis does NOT have a henna!! It looks like she does doesn't she?? We told her in another thread that it looked like she had henna, and perhaps she shouldn't bother because her hair looks beautiful!! Henna might be too red for JLewis, since she has her own natural hightlights.... IMHO....
