I am confused. Can somebody tell me how you properly take care of your hair underneath a weave? I don't understand becasue you can't wash or deep condition or do hot oil treatments on it properly so how would you be able to ensure it was being properly looked after?

I had a very bad experience with a weave once. I had it in for a about 6 weeks and when I took it out I was so shocked I cried. My had had literaly disappeared becasue it had gotten so dry and it just broke off, so my hair was in a worse condition that it was before I had put the weave in. I admit that this was before I had discovered LHCF so I was not taking care of my hair properly, I just left it alone thinking it would grow nice and long. Now that I have discovred LHCF I SIMPLY HAVE TO give my hair a good deep condition and oil treatment AT LEAST once a week and I just don't understand how you can do that if your hair is all braided up underneath a weave??

Can anybody explain??? Thanks

I had an weave, in January and i was very happy with my progress, my hair had grown thicker and longer. I now wear cornrows under a wig, i make certain that i moisturise twice a day, and wash my hair once a week, and my hair is fine. Good luck with your decison

I stretched with weaves I think that it made it easier to get to APL

Yes it is possible to care for your hair underneath a Human hair weave, Lets begin with daily Moisturising for instance, it would be tricky to spray product betweenn cornows so I transfer the contents into a bottle with a spout top and squeeze inbetwen each cornrow.

Washing the hair, is similar to how you would normally wash hair. In the shower i allow the water to saturate my hair, i massage bettwen the cornrows with my fingers, transfer diluted shampoo into a bottle with a spout top and squeeze inbetwen each cornrow and massage. Follow the eaxct steps for applying conditioner. I add my prodcut to my hair and blow dry and style. I recommend washing the hair once a week, to keep your hair healthy. I would only leave weaves in for 4 weeks at a time. I hope i explained everything clearly.

I've been rocking a weave for the past 5 months to help me retain growth. I have tried braids, and while I got great length retention, the styling options were limited. I am not really sure of my progress because my installs have literally been back-to-back. I plan to keep my my hair weaved for at least the next year. The last time I took my hair down, I noticed dryness, and I think I am in need of a trim. After this next install I plan on wearing wigs for a couple weeks in between weaves so that I can get my hair back into shape and condition it properly.
