I think it's cute! I would have put a headband on and kept it moving. The curlformers pic was cute too! I would have made a fauxhawk with that style.
Thank You. I need you to come over and do my hair
I knew I wasn't going anywhere today so I just played in it. It's up in a puff cuff right now and will be headed into flat twists soon enough.
I want to try the bantu knots on wet hair. If it works out it will be a game changer.
Girl you are right down the street. I used to be down that way a lot when I was steppin. I have to remember that when I'm ready to get my hair evened out when I reach my goal. I could use someone to hold my hand when I go.Lol, I'm in the Hampton Roads area if you need wine and a laugh. I haven't been a kitchen beautician in many a moon, so I'm not going to claim I can do anything fabulous, just workable

I'm here for you boo!
Thank you. I saw that you just went and had 1/4" cut off. I will drive all the way down to you to go to the same place you went to so they only cut off 1".
It will be a while. I am a long ways from any length goal But it is nice to have the optionWhenever you are ready. I ensured to get the woman's business card, for she only works on the weekends.
Thank you!! It's a black and blue perm rod set. I used more rollers than usual this time though. Maybe 35 vs 30.@Colocha
Beautiful curls! Is this a perm rod set or roller set? What products did you use?
I am DC'ing now and plan to do a flexirod set tonight. I need to hurry tho because I'm getting tired.
It's a cute curly fro and very soft but I honestly don't think my hair is long enough yet to really like the look of it. I snapped a pic-I will post when I get back on my phone. How'd it turn out?
I love this! Thick and full! And here are some garbage quality pictures!
It actually came out wearable if I had let it dry all the way. It was maybe 20% damp in places and this humidity means it instantly frizzes. But I don't mind since I go straight into bun.

Okay some pics: rods in, just took them out and fluffed.
Products: washed with design essentials shampoo, DC with heat using shea moisture high porosity mask, added design essentials curl cream, and elasta qp wrap foam. I only detangled with a Denman to be lazy, skipped the fine tooth comb. i felt it was still quite smooth.
Changes to make: something about that curl cream made my hair difficult to detangle while setting; I also feel like it doesn't matter if I do a lazier braid n curl or flexirods at this length, they look the same since i fluff out the roots so much. i would fluff them out less, but then the shape of my hair looks stupid to me because it's short. the objective is soft detangled hair that i don't have to touch for at least 3 days.
ETA: That was just a lot of rigmarole to get the pics to upload, pretty annoying. View attachment 423943 View attachment 423945 View attachment 423947
