Hi Princess,

I was thinking about getting the Duo Tex to use as a heavy protein treatment instead of Dudley's DRC which is expensive and hard to find. How did you use the duo tex? Is your have fine or thick? TIA

No hits or misses, but gotta tries:

Keracare Hydrating Shampoo
Keracare Dry & Itchy Scalp Shampoo
Duo Tex by Utra Sheen <----- Where did you buy this??

BTW, if you live in NYC, the Feel Beauty on Fulton St (at Jay St) has Dudley's DRC28

Hits and Misses

None yet, but I have a whole closet of stuff I didn't get a chance to try last month. I also just got back from Sally's and they're having an excellent 99 cents sale.

Hits:

Herbal Essences...Hydrating Coconut Milk Con I could comb through my new growth very nicely....I think I was 12+ weeks post at the time, I say I think because I lost track of when I last relaxed because I could still manage my hair:)

Sunsilk Hydra (Pink one) con Alternated between this one and previously mentioned, this one I liked because my ends felt nice and moisturized, silky even after 12+ weeks post

I don't know if my hair is fine or thick, because I have both kinds of strands on my head. Anyway, I put it in a spray bottle because it's liquid. I just followed the directions, and left it on for 10 mins. I DC'd with Kenra MC afterwards. Duo Tex is easy to rinse, and the smell isn't too bad. There's a whole bunch of info about Duo Tex in this thread:

The creme is pink as well, the results where fabulous, moist and silky looking. Had I had time to lay down my edges with this and some gel it would have been great. I brushed them down and they stayed for majority of the day but it was rainy and muggy so they came back up but still looked nice, waves and little coils. Very controlled.
