- Cleansing multiple (2-3x) per week with a sulfate shampoo. My scalp has never felt better and it really helps me get the most out of my leave-in's and reconstructors having fresh, clean hair on a regular basis. I did experience a little dryness on the third week of consistently doing this, so I might replace the second wash with either a cleansing cowash or a sulfate free poo just to avoid overstripping. But ultimately I loved having clean, SSK/tangle free hair for the month, so I'll definitely try to shoot for at least 2 "full" wash days per week.
- Pre-pooing overnight with oil. Especially since I'm cleansing so often, pre-pooing has been amazingly effective. I used to do it for about an hour before washing with a conditioner like VO5 and it helped with detangling, but letting the oils (EVCO +/or EVOO) penetrate into dry, dirty hair overnight has made a huge difference in the overall condition of my hair. It's stronger, shinier, and way easier to manage whenever I pre-poo with an oil, so I'm gonna keep that in my regimen as well.

- Hawaiian Silky 14-n-1. I'm salty about this one because I love the smell and how much product you get for the price, but it simply can't replace S-Curl for me. It also leaves a really greasy film over my hair that just led to stickiness and pure frizz. My hair was soft, but way too frizzy and puffy. S-Curl can have that effect on my hair as well considering the glycerin vs this east coast humidity, but it's way less obvious and the benefits outweigh the aesthetic.
