Potential Hit:
Nairobi Prota-Sil Reconstructor - I just used this one for the first time today. It is a thick, creamy reconstructor that went on pretty good but as I worked it through my hair, I watched my hair haul up to half it's length. It was pretty tight. I thought it was a medium strength protein, but it behaved like a hardcore one to me.
After washing it out, my hair was still very tightly curled up and felt slightly hard as well. I said to myself "Okay here it goes, this looks like it will be trouble softening this baby back up" and sure enough, it was.
I proceeded to use Nairobi Humecta-Sil (which is actually a Hit by the way), and it did nothing to soften my hair to the degree my comb would effortlessly detangle my hair.
I feel I may have to use my trusted Dudley's Cream Protein Moisture Conditioner in the morning to get the softness back in. That always softens my hair up really well after a hardcore protein treatment. By the way, I think I may need to get another tub of this one as a back-up. I cannot afford to run out of it since I have quite a bit of strong protein conditioners to use up. I wonder what the Dudley's Hair Rebuilder is like
- I may have to get that one as well when I go out to make my Dudley's product purchase.
I must say though that it did greatly minimize breakage. My hair feels really really strong but a little hard unfortunately. I will work on moisturizing it over the next day or two. I wished I had used my Dudley's Cream Protein afterwards - next time I guess.
As an after-thought - I will use less of the Nairobi Prota-Sil next wash using it. I may have been a little heavy handed this time around.
