These rates are killing me. I'm all for christian education, but this is so taxing. Are you a product of christian education?

I went to a christian school and felt that the ciriculum there was very limited compared to the public school I had transfered from.

I sure am. I went to Hanson Place SDA and was supposed to go to Greater NY Academy but went to public school instead. My daughter has gone the same route, SDA for elementary and public for high school because I cannot afford it right now. I would love for her to continue a christian education straight through to college, but it's just too much $$$ for me right now.

It ain't cheap for sure! I was fortunate in that because my dad was who he was, we got the church worker discounts, which was really a blessing going through Pine Forge and Oakwood. I went to several church run elementary schools, starting off with Linden and finishing with Bethesda in Amityville.

My son just finished Kindergarten, and thankfully the costituent cost per month was so much less than the non-constituant cost.

Now see...I'm even contemplating getting my membership transferred just for the constituent rates. I just may have to do that. Does anyone know how sponsoring works. I have a relative that is a long time member of a constituent church. That would be my other option. I can't even imagine what high school education will cost me.

HLD, how much was Greater NY? I have 2 girls. I called one school yesterday, thinking I might be able to save a little. Well it would be 742 mthly for tuition, 160 for lunch, 300 for bus transportation, or 300 for after school care. If I didn't use the after school care I would still have to apy someone else to care for them.
