Anyone use it? Does it work? What are the benefits?
I have used fermented rice water. It improved my hair elasticity, but I mainly use it with raw aloe to cleanse my scalp (it behaves like a toner). I need to get back to using it.
I think @Sharpened put rice water on my radar. I tried it and my hair loved it. I'll get back to it in the Spring.
What was your hair's response? What changes demonstrated to you that your hair loved it? I love trying processes that are inexpensive, easy to find and natural!
So far it seems that most of the vids I’ve seen are relaxed women using it. A few naturals use it but I haven’t that many of their videos. Doesn’t the rice water do the same thing as a protein treatment?
Not on my hair; it helps with softness and elasticity, behaves like a toner on the scalp.Doesn’t the rice water do the same thing as a protein treatment?
I'm back because I've been watching rice water vids all day
Do any of you use it for beauty treatments?
She states her grandmother would bath them in rice water as children.
Some people use it to lighten up their skin. Dunno how effective it is for that.

How long did you allow your RW to "ferment"?
I stick the rice in a baggie and freeze it to use again.Exactly 24 hours 6 pm Wednesday to 6 pm Thursday. 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. Used about a cup and a half with a spray bottle, threw out the rest.
I tried it my last wash day and think I want to try it all of 2018. Positive experience so far despite the smell.
I made too much and froze the excess so I’m going to see if freezing affects the efficacy.
