Okay,
I'll do my best to give you the short and sweet version. I have been natural for almost two years and began my journey due to my dd having relaxer issues. After 7 months into her transition, and various reasons along with her request, we went back to relaxers. Her texture is so different from my own, I don't know where to begin in getting her on a healthy hair regimen.
She has different textures with the back and nape being more coarse and last year suffered more damage due to trial and error of finding a daily moisturizer. Her hair is doing better with a lye relaxer, but I need to get a solid regimen to really help her hair to thrive and grow this year. Last summer was the beginning of a lot of changes and I'll admit her hair was neglected for some time, but I'm trying to get back on track.
She seems to do better with a "grease" base, but I still haven't found "the perfect moisturizer" for her hair. I love Design and Keracare shampoo and conditioners for her hair, but really need a good moisturizer, deep conditioning concoction or agent, leave-in and protein treatment. Her hair also does well with coconut oil as a sealant. So I completed part of the battle, but need the missing pieces/links of the other.
Please help.
