My hair seemed to be stuck at a certain length. I want to prove to myslf and others that I can grow my hair past that length without being pregnant, as I was when I had bra length hair the last time. I've already gotten out of my rut, now I'm motivated to grow more hair.
I just want to see how far I can grow it. And my husband, even though he doesn't want to admit it, likes it longer. Just imagine him running his fingers through my long flowing hair!Lol
Overall I just want to prove to him and others than I can grow it long!
It's such an accomplishment....when my hair gets long, it's because of constant care and pampering.....kinda like a reward for being so diligent. Plus i like the way it feels when it flips
1- i want to see how long it can get
2- made a bet that i can get it to a certain length by a certain time
3- my bf is used to dating white girls with waist length hair
My first priority was ringlets, then length. I wanted to get the ringlets that I was imitating with the S-curl braided extensions. This happens when I dry the hair in a wet bun after a CO wash in the shower. Motivation: it looks better on me than a straight style. I'm not straightening to measure length, but I'll check it next touchup.
* because i look better with long hair
* to show naysayers natural hair can be long and healthy

MY HAIR AS BEEN AT THIS SAME LENGTH EVERY SINCE I WAS YOUNGER AND GOTTEN RID OF THE CURL . SO NOW I WANT TO SEE IF I CAN GROW IT OUT . BEFORE THIS BOARD I WASN'T EVEN DEEP CONDITIONING MY HAIR I'VE LEARNED ALOT . SO WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I STARTED JULY 23.
Well every summer I take on a new "project". Last summer it was repairing my credit that I jacked up in college and I accomplished that because I just purchased an '03 Yukon for 0.9% This summer my project is hair repair! Hopefully I will have 12 more inches by next summer.
I like long hair and it is beautiful on me.
So many people don't think women of color can have long hair w/o getting a weave, so I also want to proven those no believers that I know that we can have long hair too.
My main reason is that when I first relaxed my hair (aged12, now I'm 19), it was all the way down to the middle of my back. However, when your that age you don't really apprieciate it as much and after years of scissor happy stylists, colours, 'styling torture' and experimentation it's just past my shoulders and I know it can get further like before, I just have to work at it and this site has given me the encouragment!
