Really quick question

Hi Ladies, I just have a really quick question... is it okay to just flat iron my roots!? I'm trying to do no direct heat as much as possible. However, there is no way to get my roots straight with the exception of flat ironing and roller setting. I'd rather not do either. But, I'd like to roll it using my hot rollers but I would still have puffy roots. So, is it possible to use the flat iron on just my roots on a low setting and not do to much damage??

Thanks in advance

i think its ok. in the spring i plan on rollersetting my hair and wrapping it, but if the roots are curly/wavy then im going to flat iron the roots only. i would start off at a lower temp (300-350 degrees or lower) if your flat iron is adjustable, and then only increase the temp if your roots didnt get as straight as you want it the 1st time.
