I tried this line on myself and my daughter in 2023 and this year. That was after the sell, and I haven't had any hair issues. I grew our hair out with this brand in rotation.
I specifically tried random items from the Pomegranate & Honey, Babassu Brazilian, Signature Line, and the Rosemary hair oil. There wasn’t much of an impact, good or bad. The products I tried weren't aren't as rich and deeply moisturizing as I require, but they didn't raise any concerns. I will use up what I have and will not repurchase. I'm discontinuing the products because they aren't anything special. I don't believe they harmed my hair. Since my daughter’s hair likes coconut oil, her hair maintained manageability and suppleness while using the products...particularly when she was in a season of wash-n-go's.
Hair loss can be just as simple as it is complex. Someone may know they haven't had any illnesses, that line was the only change in their regimen, and their haircare practices are on point. That context helps to pinpoint the cause of hair loss efficiently.
Unfortunately, many people caught COVID-19, experienced other major illnesses that were not COVID-related, introduced mRNA into their systems, may have had one or more medical procedures/surgeries, have poor nutrition, poor fitness and/or may have questionable haircare practices. Anyone whose surrounding conditions didn’t remain a stable control or were in bad shape will have difficulty reliably blaming Mielle as the definitive cause. I don’t say this to debunk their claims, and I am sure they are having hair loss. I am just not sure this brand is the only contributor when other factors that could have contributed to or exacerbated the hair loss is visible.
I don’t use the products, but do you have any thoughts on the Mielle controversy?
I’m wondering what is causing the reaction that people are dealing with.
