Quick MSM Question!

It's been a while since I've been on it, I'm going to start back this week and order some.

Does it make a difference to the thickness at all or just the texture of the hair?

LD: I noticed the texture change more than anything. I have been taking it since Jan 04. I didn't have any of the side effects that other ladies experienced. My new growth comes in more wavy than coiled and a heck of alot softer.

Thanks Simplycee I needed a memory jog, I need it for the softer hair as my regrowth is thick and hard to manage.

I know what u mean my new growth used to be outta this world and extending my relaxer was out of the question. About 8 weeks after taking the MSM I started seeing a change in my new growth.

Currently, I am about 16 weeks post touch up. I'm wearing braids and I'm on my third set so far. When I took my braids out two weeks ago I had almost 3 inches of new growth. I co washed every, single day until I rebraided this past Friday. My new growth was very managable and I think it was the MSM along with the co washes.

I don't think that each hair grows in thicker. BUT since it slows down shedding, there are more hairs at one time on your head so the overall density of your hair does increase

I've definitely noticed this the last few months of my MSM usage

I definitely change my texture, and I do not lose that much hair. In the beginning I had some headaches that went away in about a week. I see a difference in my hair and nails. Both are growing great since starting MSM as part of my daily vitamins.

what brand is everyone using? i used the powder by trimedica but I dont think it even made much of a difference. I am wondering if I should go back to the pills or try another powder? God bless you all.

Azul MSM crystals are said to be better than the powders. The crystals are ground up and sometimes have ingredients added to it.

If you can find crystal MSM then that's the way to go.
